Fantasy Week 6: Start 'em/Sit 'em
Sorry I've been slacking on this lately, but lets get back to it. A lot interesting things going on around the league fantasy-wise. Can Tim Tebow be a big time scorer? What about Jackie Battle? What about anyone on the Colts? Crazy stuff indeed.
Just an update to everyone, both Julio Jones and LaGarrette Blount have both already been ruled out for their games this week.
My biggest Start 'em/Sit 'em this week comes from my work league where I am currently 4-1:
Start 2
Hillis vs. Oak
Greene vs. Miami
Ingram @ TB
Peyton Hillis is really a hard read right now, it's hard to tell if he'll actually come out and try to be productive. I'm a little scared he might just go through the motions due to his whole contract dispute, or he may get another sore throat, haha.
As always feel free to post any fantasy questions on this thread.

P. Hillis Vs. That Oakland Defense
I’d roll with the Oakland Defense, in Oakland.
Wouldn't start Hillis
They can’t move on anybody, let alone a decent unit like Oakland.
I’d prolly gamble on Greene and Ingram

Alex Mack may be out and otherwise, Hillis has been poo poo outside of Week 2

Do yourself a favor and pull up all of Peyton Hillis Stats this year and last year
Since the halway mark of last year he has not done anything.
I avoided him in all my drafts.
Sooooooo you're agreeing with me?
Or what, lol

My take is that Hillis was great for one half of a year.
But if I have him on my team, someone’s got to be better.
I love Ingram. Unfortunately, there are 2 other running backs taking up carries.
I just don’t get the Jets, so I don’t like Shon Greene.
Tough call.
You do realize that you're pretty wrong on your whole Hillis thing.
He had 873 total yards with 8 TDs in his first 8 games, and then had 781 yards w/ 5 TDs in his last eight games. Those numbers don’t really show a tremendous decline like you are advertising, especially since he basically didn’t touch the ball the last game of year when Pittsburgh was absolutely beating them down.

Yeah, Hillis was consistently good.
I heard you got him in Week 2 last season, that was a good pickup.
He helped bulldoze his way to my league championship, haha

nice
what was the rest of your team like? Did you get any of the other monster waiver pickups (lloyd, Vick, etc.)?
Hmm.. Gotta look back
QB- Schaub, Cutler
WR- Roddy White, Andre Johnson, Santana
RB- Hillis, MJD, Benson, Fred Jackson, Pierre Thomas
TE- Gonzalez, Carlson

I got him off the waiver wire in Week 2 last year too
I drafted Jerome Harrison thinking he was going to be the guy, then Hillis got all the carries in Week 1 so I scooped him up.
But I also stayed away from this season, I thought he wouldn’t produce like he did last year.

Peyton Hilllis AVERAGED 66.6 yards the last 8 games of last season
He had 2 games over a 100 yards but sucked in 6 of the last 8 games.
82, 48, 131, 57, 108, 59, 35, 13= 533 / 8 = 66.6
Plus his Agent doesn’t want him to play because he might get a boo-boo and ruin his upcoming contract.
He has had one decent game out of 4 this year.
So Peyton Hillis has had 3 good games in the last 12. Not good statistics.
Sit him down.
Your skewing the stats.
Running back do a lot more than just run the ball, especially if you’re in a PPR league. You’re totally dismissing Hillis’ total yard stats.
He’s also had more than 3 good games in his last 12
Week 8: 220 total yards, 2 TDs
Week 9: 102 total yards, TD
Week 10: 143 total yards, TD
Week 11: 194 total yards, 3 TDs
Week 12: 79 total yards, 7 receptions (good for a PPR league for your RB)
Week 13: 108 total yards
Week 1: 87 total yards, 6 receptions
Week 3: 117 total yards, 2 TDs
No one is saying he’s a 1st round RB like AP or Arian Foster. But he’s still a good RB2 or flex guy.
Dig a little deeper than the running numbers.

That's fine, then just say that.
Don’t throw skewed stats or say he hasn’t been effective we he clearly has.

Yea the fact that you're the lowest scoring team in the league is really impressive...
You have no $ and you’re one injury away from re-charting your trajectory of totaling sucking.
Profiteering off the autodraft guy for a WR. Not playing players in positions…Stay classy…

Everybody is about 1 injury away from sucking
considering I already lost my first round pick to injury, I think it’s fair to say I’ve had some struggles while I tried to replace him. I would never have traded Colt McCoy but then I got myself another starting QB with Tim Tebow. It’s not like I sent him a bad QB anyway, Colt hasn’t scored under 20 points in a single week yet. At least I didn’t give him a QB that’s had a whopping 2 point game already for, say, Hakeem Nicks. That would’ve been the scam of the century. Travis still has plenty of good WRs anyway, i.e, Dez Bryant, Jeremy Maclin, Andre Johnson, Brandon Lloyd, and Vincent Jackson, so we each filled a team need with that trade.
And you can’t put my previous point totals on my current team, I’ve overturned 7 of my roster’s starting spots with trades/pickups since week 4.
Dude, no one cares. It was a joke. You're uber-sensitive about your fantasy squad.
You’ve made trash talking not fun. Which I didn’t even realize was possible.

Drop all Colts
I called it at the beginning of the season. Trade them all.
If Dallas Clark can’t score points for you then theirs no hope.
Heck, the owner already went to scout Andrew Luck.
I'm trying to ditch Wayne now,
Go Suns, Packers, Jays, and Huskers!

I just realized if I beat HogHunter
and shvd loses this week, I’m second in the division.
With the worst point total in the league.
and with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Tim Tebow as my QBs.
there is definitely something wrong here.
About as close.....
as Eric Decker’s chance was to stay on your roster all season!!!!
Dream Team who??????
Especially with Tebow throwing ducks

I predict
Oakland and Cleveland will score over 150 points against each other giving you two negative scoring defenses. Fumbilitis for your RB’s, dropsies for your WR’s, and game ending injuries for everyone else on your team.
Gresham, Helu, or James Jones for my flex?
Go Suns, Packers, Jays, and Huskers!

I think the Pack might have a field day in STL, they aren't the type of team to run when ahead, as you know.
I’d have to go w/ Jones. Redskins RB are so high risk/reward at this point.

The safe play may be....
Gresham (guaranteed a few catches and is developing into Dalton’s safety valve)…..the most likely to score you big (or nothing) is James Jones, and Helu more than likely will get around 10-15 snaps w/ 3-6 touches. He hasn’t shown to be any more of the offense than that (not saying I agree that he shouldn’t be) and Torain re-emerged in the last game. Personally…..I would play Jones……can’t bring myself to ever have a TE in a flex spot unless there is simply no one else. Green Bay throws the ball alot and even though they spread it around pretty well….Jones always gets his opportunities….he doesn’t always make the best of them.
Dream Team who??????
It's just so tough with GB players.
I’ve been using Gresham, but maybe it is time to go for the boom-or-bust pick. I’m 2-3 after a big gye week and injuries. I now have Colston and Austin back on the field, which should help.
I have to start Bradford though since Hasslebeck is on Bye. Hopefully being down big leads to a lot of passing.
Go Suns, Packers, Jays, and Huskers!
