Touchy subject. When I went to the Arizona game almost every female had a Chris Cooley jersey on (and a whole lot of fellas).

Chris Cooley has been here awhile. The trade deadline is Tuesday. We have an up and coming Tight End in Fred Davis. In my opinion Chris is on the downswing of his career.

Chris has alot of other things going on in his life. He has his pottery store, radio appearances, lots of volunteer stuff. Really good stuff.

The kicker. Chris Cooley has a slumber party with the DJ's on 106.7. They are going to have smores, cocoa and fizzy sodas. One DJ asked if they could do some pottery on a broadcast I heard (not a joke).

Hey Shanahan, what do you think of one of your players hosting a slumber party?

Is Mike and Kyle invited? Are they going to provide matching pajamas. Are they going to watch "Twighlight?"

Are they sharing beds? Are they going to fix each others hair? Lot's of giggling time.

Sometimes it's just time to move a player, especially when we have someone who did a great job when that player was unavailable. Did you notice how good Fred Davis did when Chris was injuried and when Chris came back Fred Davis was pretty much ignored again?

If we can get a backup middle lineback, another cornerback or another Wide Receiver who can stretch the field if Anthony Armstrong is still injured then I say go for it and trade Chris Cooley.

The time is right.
