Guess what Carlos Rogers learned to do????.....
Newsflash...Carlos Rogers has learned to catch the ball!! 3 interceptions this for 58 yards and one pick 6. For years we toiled under the fact that he was a 1st round cover corner that couldn't catch the rock. How many memories do we have of Carlos being in the right position at the right time to seal or win the game...only to see the ball on the ground and our hopes dashed. Carlos was always a league leader in tackles for a corner, and passes defended. I have to admit to liking Carlos and remember a stretch before and injury two years ago that he was playing at an all pro shutdown level...akin to laron last year before the achilles injury. That being said...I can also remember atleast 7 easy catches the ended up on the ground. Devout Skinz fans that understood defense, knew this was a baller...and gave hmm loveable or not so loveable nicknames, but he was a player. Well San Fran noticed he was a player to...and it seems someone worked with him to catch the ball. To be honest...I'd take Carlos any day over Dante Hall. I do remember Carlos shutting down T.O....who has Dante shut down??? Regardless, skinz fans...we let a good one get away...but this one time I wish him nothing but the best.

uhhh
I think you mean “Deangelo” Hall.
And Hall has actually been pretty damn good this season. Except for a few broken plays (i.e. cover zeroes that didn’t work out, etc) he’s held a lot of top receivers to very few yards.
Los
was never a team player, always complaining on the media and we have a stand up guy in josh wilson securing our 2nd corner spot that can be a ball hawk!
You can’t tell me you wont be cheering your ass off when deangello makes a play and scores a pick 6

It is what it is
Rogers was a good player here but thought he deserved elite $. No one in the NFL gave it to him. When you do a decent job at work and don’t get a raise, it easy to look elsewhere and do even better there. I’m not too fired up about it. Josh Wilson is a fine substitute at a fraction of the cost of what Los would have cost us.

Well said. Rogers has been a godsend for that team(he even makes all the secondary calls) but it doesn’t bother me. He had a grievance with the team legitimate or not and is now thriving somewhere else. We are doing well also and thats all I care about.

Carlos burned his bridges
He was what he was here…hands of stone. Teams need turnovers especially when they hit you right in the hands. Unfortunately he never could hold on to them. That’s his legacy. Good cover guy? Yeah…for the most part unless someone put a double move on him. But he wanted mo’ money and we weren’t going to give it to him so he went to greener pastures. It’s great that his team is winning (until we play them) and he’s learned to hang on to a ball and he’s earning more scratch.
Carlos is looking good
Not gonna lie and say that after watching carlos this year, that i’m a lil jealous. he’s definitely showing his butt off in sanfran. if only he would’ve caught interceptions with us!
He's doing well but.....
we got rid of another cancer from the locker room. He was a serious malcontent the last couple seasons. Liked him as a player…..but Wilson is a better influence and hopefully proves to be the better overall DB!
Dream Team who??????
It’s pretty much impossible to overstate just how frustrating this is. The same shit happened with Walt Harris (8 INT the season after he left the Redskins for the 49ers) – there must be something in the water out west. But fuck, man, the quote from this article really infuriates me:
Rogers has been staying late after Wednesday and Thursday practices to work on catching balls.
Great. Sweet. AWESOME.
'los continued
I do remember Carlos getting beat on a few double moves…admittedly some of thos he might have been playing loose expecting help from the deep middle. With the loss of Sean Taylor and Laron playing out of position for a couple years I believe sometimes our safties were out of position. that said I remember Carlos shutting Down T.O. completely in two games against Dallas…when T.O. was T.O. To the comment about the Money…..well dump D’angelo salary and we might be able to move Fedex back to DC where it belongs..lol. I am not a D. Hall hater…just think he plays too loose and relies on his dwindling speed to often. Carlos and Josh, Laron and Otogwe…now that to me is a team based secondary. As far as a cancer…I see him as much as a Malcontent as Rocky…and look at what Rocky Mc is doing this year…
