Tonight football's real division, FCS, you know the one with the actual playoff will have their national championship in Frisco, Texas. For those interested it will be Delaware going for their 7th national championship versus Eastern Washington going for their first (they have sweet red turf though). Both teams are 12-2 and should be a fun, pretty evenly matched game. The game starts at 7 on ESPN2. If Delaware wins it will be the CAA's 3rd National Championship in a row (Richmond, Villanova) and 5 of the last 8.
Pro Prospects to look out for:
Pat Devlin, QB, Delaware: A lot of people know who this guy is b/c he's following in Joe Flacco's footsteps, but have you seen him play yet. A lot of pundits have Devlin ranked as about the 5th or 6th best QB in the draft (now that Luck is gone) and he will probably go anywhere between the 2nd and 4th round. Devlin is 6'3, 225 and a lot more fiery and vocal than Flacco. He's a transfer from Penn State (sucks to be Tiller!) and probably his biggest plus is his release, he can really make some good throws and gets the ball out quickly. Probably the biggest downsize is his footwork under pressure, but hopefully that can be improved with coaching.
Matthew Marcorelle, OLB, Delaware: Probably the only other kid that has a shot at getting drafted late in this year's draft. He's 6'2, 245 and you'll probably see a lot of him tonight.
Eastern Washington has some guys that could also be drafted late this year that you can keep an eye on:
Tyler Jolley, DT, 6'3, 292 lbs: Best chance for someone from EWU getting drafted.
Jesse Hoffman, S, 6'0, 203 lbs
Matt Martin, TE, 6'2, 236 lbs
JC Sherritt, OLB, 5'9, 216
