If the unexpected happens and Fisher is returned to the Titans, VY will be on his way out, and more importantly, much like Haynesworth and McNabb with us, Tennesse will have absolutely no leverage in any trade cos the whole world will know they will want him gone regardless.
This means we might be able to get him for as little as a Fifth Round Pick, or a 2012 4th Rounder (a la the JC to Oakland deal) Maybe even we can just straight swap for Big Al
If this situation presents itself, is this a worthwhile move.
I am not saying it is, though I am not saying it isnt either, just interested in the views of my esteemed fellow fans (even Parks) LOL
in my view I see it this way
The guy is a winner, from College to the Pros the kid just wins games, comes up big in big moments and even without great stats, just wins games.
He has great legs, which with our pourous O-Line will be important.
I have never seen this discussed elsewhere, but I am not sure how all the so called experts miss it, but when V Young Plays his RB's always play better than when Collins is playing, I beleive this is because the dual threat of his run, draws some attention from your RB and opens up holes for the Runner, much like Vick does for McCoy in Philly.
If we can swap for Big Al, then it is a dream, we get a QB and rid ourselves of a distraction at the same time.
We will not have to use our 1st Rd pick on a QB, we will get him for basically nothing
The obvious one is his attitude, will be just be Big Al the QB in terms of clashing with coaches etc
Does he fit the system, I can see him fitting the bootlegs that are a part of the Shannyplan, but I am not sure of his progression reads and all that
VYoung can often be a improviser much like McNabb, we have already seen how much Shanny wants his players to do as they are told.
Not sure how well Young would work with a discipline coach of the Shanny mould, I think he needs a bit of love to succeed.
Anyway let the debate begin
