A comparison (After the Jump) of Redskins and Broncos drafts from 2006 - 2008 (Remember Shanahan was out after the 08 season). As I was compiling, I found myself very comfortable with Shanahan's picks. The (+) by the names are guys who turned into legitimate NFL ball players. The (*) represents guys who are at least still in the NFL. What Shanahan did in 2007 makes me salivate!!! On the other hand...Bruce Allen drafting terrifies me (http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft?teamId=4900&type=team)

Redskins [2008] = 2 of 4 needs met technically (0 STARTING!!! - 1 unidentified need 2nd string TE)

Broncos [2008] = 2 off 3 needs met (WR still starting; however - 5 other unidentified needs still starting)

Redskins [2007] = 0 of 4 needs met (1 unidentified need starting LaRon Landry!!!!)

Broncos [2007] = 1 of 4 needs met (DE x 2 both still in the league 1 starting; 1 unidentified need starting OL)

Redskins [2006] = 1 of 3 needs met (OLB - Rocky Mc.)

Broncos [2006] = 3 of 4 needs met  (WR, OL, TE - All still top notch starters in the league)
