So I have a hard time believing Joey Galloway is better than Antwaan Randel El
How he starting? he had 3 catches in preseason.. this new coaching staff has already made a lot of questionable cuts.

Joey
If Galloway makes over thirty catches this year, I’ll eat my shorts. Shanny must be joking.
be sure to post a fanshot of that.....
barring injury Gallows averages better than 2 catches per game…..you did hear about our new QB right? Joey can run a slant in mid-yard situations, he will get some catches.
If you have to add xxxxs to your post....
just to get it posted….then it’s better off as a comment than a post!
You mustnt read my FANPOSTs often
then SHVD.
Once I have made my point at times I would be better off with xxxxx than some of the garbage that I write
:)
ON a serious note, I agree completely, it seems to me that Shanahan sadly, seems more concerned with winning the PR campaign to seperate himself from the decisions of the old regime than he is with winning games.
DT for all his faults showed enough at the end of last year that he could help us,
IN Australia for some reason they showed a lot of Pats games, including their first 3 or 4 so I saw all of Galloways snaps in NE, and it took about 1/2 the first game for BRady to completely lose faith in him, go back and watch the Week 1 Jets Pats game, Galloway had 3 or 4 crucial drops and spent the rest of the time unable to get open and with Revis ISland shutting down Moss and I beleive WElker was injured this led BRady having Edelman as his only option.
Galloway, Larry Johnson, Parker its almost like Shanahan is still seeing players through the prism of when he last coached and not noticing their decline.
Believe me Galloway was finished a year ago, if BRady couldnt get him the ball with Moss drawing the most attention then I dont see McNabb doing any better.

I am definitely guilty of that too at times!!!
I agree and disagree…..I trust this staff to make it right…and whether they intend it to be or not….I expect this year to be a starting point for year 3 of this FO. I won’t call it rebuilding necessarily….but I think it takes a solid 3 years to get the roster turnover required to fully implement a complete change in system and coaches and truly show success.
beat me to it
This is what I was gonna say. I’m not enamored by Galloway, but I’ll take him over Randle Fell any day. I’m so glad I don’t have to watch that guy scamper around for 5 minutes before gaining 2.1 yards, and then slide in the dirt before he gets hit.

yep
and what they’re really saying is that DT and MK are even worse options at this point. Personally I think this is the last year we should waste on DT & MK – show us something or hit the road.
key words
“What they’re saying”
Not necesarily the same as reality, we cut Aromishidu who looks like becoming a star in Chicago (under the old regime admittedly)
When Zorn was forced to play him, DT did very well last year, and was brutal as an after the catch runner almost seeking contact like a RB. I just wish Shanny would let him play in a real game and see, rather than going with Galloway who is clearly done
Pommylee
They play different positions. Slot vs split end.
And no, ARE isn’t faster or better at getting deep.

or don't do a fanshot..
or a fanpost… just a thought

or better yet
just get informed. Did you watch any preseason games?
Galloway was open deep, often.
We now have a QB that can throw the ball out there and will do so and not be a checkdown charlie.
Is Galloway the second coming of Randy Moss, hardly… but in the coaches opinion, based on what they saw in the games and in practice, the guy must be worthy of a spot. Did he have a bad year last year, yup. Does one year a career make? I dunno.
Do I trust Shanahan and Allen more than last year’s group…yes.
If you wanted to compare receivers in training camp to ARE, you would have better served to point out Bobby Wade, but he didn’t make the squad either.
I used to be disgusted, now I try to be amused....
to be fair he has had 2 awful years not 1
But I do agree that one year a career does not make.

easy
this one is really easy, is MOss better then Randle-el? because moss has moved to the slot where randle-el was. three receiver sets have galloway and thomas outside and moss in the slot, randle-el cost 5 mill or so, galloway 850k. add those two together and you get your answer rather easily.
