Projected Cuts:
I wanted to start a thread on whom everybody thinks may be cut on Saturday. Here is my list:
Shay Hodge (WR)
Eric Cook (C)
Logan Paulsen (TE)
Lee Vickers (TE)
Richard Bartel (QB)
Willie Parker (RB)
Darrion Scott (DE)
Jeremy Jarmon (DE) booooo
Roydell Williams (WR)
Bobby Wade (WR)
Howard Green
Keiland Williams (RB) Practice Squad
Curtis Gatewood (LB)
Rob Jackson (LB)
Ramzee Robinson (CB)
Anderson Russell (S)
Byron Westbrook (CB) boooo
Brandon Banks (WR)
Clint Oldenburg (OL)
Robert Henson (LB) I think HB can maybe sneak a spot with Hen's injury?
Anthony Bryant (DL)
I can't think of two more off the top of my head and some of these may not make sense depth-wise, just wanted to get everyone else's view on this.

was wondering who this new guy was

I know you know who LJP is...
It is my theory that LJP is still amungst us with a new identity… He is still out there lurking and waiting to strike.

I thought you were joking when you said that

Erik Cook I think has a shot to make the team...def practice squad.
I don’t see how Capers makes the team…I want him to be good but he’s not. Maybe he’s a work in progress…but he gets pushed back a lot.
Anthony Bryant and Howard Green are in a battle….I don’t see what Kemo has done to earn a roster spot except sign for a decent salary. He’s a liability but will make it.
Hogs Haven. On Twitter. And Facebook.
I think Logan Paulsen makes it
The only reason I say this is because he seems like he has some decent upside and value. He catches the ball with ease and he’s hard to take down. Fred Davis doesn’t like to block and doesn’t block very well. Paulsen could fill that role. To bad he couldn’t fill in at FB to.
The Team needs a 3rd TE that can block. T Williams may need some support at times. Also the additional blocking in the back
field as was used with the Jets in the shotgun would help. Cooley did some switching around in that kind of situation and then went out for short, escape valve pass routes when the extra blitzer did not come. Cooley may be too valuable to keep back in those situations, but McNabb does need
to have max protection sometimes.

My list - cuts
Offense:Torain, Parker or K. Williams, C. Davis, Vickers, Young or Sellers, Hodge, Wade, Banks, Capers, Oldenburg, Montgomery or W. Robinson, Rinehart. Defense: Gatewood, Green, Jackson, A. Russell, Scott, R. Robinson or Tryon, Westbrook. That’s 19. Other three could be from R. Williams, Cook, Lichtensteiger, Riley, both Parker and Williams, both Montgomery and W. Robinson, both R. Robinson and Tryon, Bartel.
I wouldn’t cut Paulsen, Jarmon, Henson, Bryant.
Carver - if you mean me, you're right
I didn’t think anybody gave a hoot about my list and didn’t want to take up 20 lines – I did it more for myself, for fun, so I can compare to the real list. I made the comment partly because I disagreed on the four I mentioned, and Roydell Williams (although he could get cut, too). Bryant or Green should be kept because there is growing doubt on Kemoeatu, and I don’t think they want AH to play all NT.
Beck is not beyond getting cut.

“Washington Redskins QB John Beck agreed to reduce his 2010 salary from $1.1 million to $600,000, a source told Rick Maese, of The Washington Post. His smaller salary likely will give him a better chance to make the final roster although he has not been guaranteed a spot. The source said Beck will receive a $100,000 bonus if he makes the team.”

I have the players in mind that I want to make it
but being pragmatic it doesn’t really matter that much because these are likely to be among the guys that are inactive week in and week out—like Marko Mitchell and others were last year, much to us fan’s chagrin.
53-man predictions
Offense
QB – McNabb, Grossman
RB – Portis, LJ, K. Williams
FB – Sellers
WR – Moss, DT, Armstrong, Galloway, R. Williams, Austin
TE – Cooley, Davis, Paulson
OL – T. Williams, Dockery, Rabach, Hicks, J. Brown, Heyer, Robinson, Cook, Montgomery
Defense
NT – Kemoeatu, Haynesworth, Bryant
DE – Carriker, Golston, Daniels, Holliday, Jarmon
OLB – Orakpo, Carter, Alexander, Wilson
ILB – Fletcher, McIntosh, Blades, Riley, Henson (barring injury)
CB – Hall, Rogers, Buchanon, Barnes, Tryon
Safety – Landry, Carter, Doughty, Horton (When healthy, Moore will push Doughty or Horton to PS)
Specialists
K – Gano
P – Bidwell
LS – Sundberg
Practice Squad
Beck, Banks, Capers, Torain, R. Jackson…
VA_Skin Beck is not eligible for the practice squad. I like your offensive predictions except for Montgomery, but I expect to make
some moves on the OL after 9/4 as well as on WR. There will be 5 safeties for awhile including #24 Tyrone Carter, unless a decent FS can be picked up from the cuts or through trade. While Cook may end up on the practice squad, it would be good for him to get some game time experience.
The practice squad players you have listed is another story, but experience can’t correct somethings. Capers may not have the
potential. Kraig Urbik (a 3rd pick in 2009) may get released by the Steelers.
Most commentators expect Haynesworth to play more RDE than NT. Kemoeatu doesn’t seem to be doing good enough at NT and maybe Bryant should be the starter. The Team will probably have to wait for the 2011 draft to get their NT.
The Team may only keep 4 CBs.

Yep
I forgot about Beck not being eligible for the PS. That means I would have to add him to the 53 because it looks like the Shannys have a pretty big man-crush on Beck. In that case I would probably put TE Paulsen on PS (unless Henson’s injury is more serious).
I chose Montgomery and Cook because they can both fill in at G/C. I also expect Haynesworth will play DE most of the time, unless Kemo continues to “struggle”.
I fully expect our FO to scan the other teams’ cuts and practice squads and make some more moves this weekend.
VA_Skin - Good list
I don’t think Doughty, Horton or Jackson are eligible for the practice squad, but Bartel is. Good point on Montgomery. Keim says all the back up O-line looked lousy (not so bluntly) except for occasional flashes from Heyer, so I sure hope they get some help from somebody. Tryon is on the bubble. I might have taken Parker over Williams, putting Keiland on the PS, although I’m about the only one suggesting that. I wonder about Young over Sellers, too.
Here's my list

You may notice I’ve only got 51 players here (counting Moore). I I figure they’ll probably sign 2 O-linemen off the waiver wire. I left the spots open because I don’t think any of the rest of our preseason guys deserve to make the 53. Once Moore comes off the PUP, I figure either Carter or Horton will go, hopefully Carter.
After combing over this thing, I just don’t see any way to justify cutting Jarmon. Frankly, there are a few players here I’d keep him over, especially Holiday. But, like I said, as I see it there is definitely room for him. I also put Henson on because I heard him say today that his knee isn’t serious, so I’m hoping for the best.
I’ve got Capers, Cook, Banks, Young, and Paulsen going on the practice squad. Capers and Cook looked the worst to me in preseason, but they’re rookies, so I’ll cut them some slack. Banks I could live without, but I think he’ll be kept around for sentimental value, not to mention he would actually be a great player for the defense to practice against. Young will be good insurance for when Sellers gets hurt. Paulsen seemed right because I’ve heard them praise him. But I could see him being switched out for Barnes, or one of the other O-linemen. I know some people envision Bartel being here, but I say no way. Frankly, I’d rather cut Beck as well, make room for someone who can contribute EVER.
cuz he's gettin cut
Actually, I meant to say WOOPS…big time. it’s funny, cuz I counted 7 O-linemen in my head, but it never made it to the ‘puter. Either way, I think you add him here, keep the rest the same. I really hope they look elsewhere to fill some more spots on the O-line. Our backups sucked this preseason. As for Jarmon, I REALLY think they should keep him. But if they are intent on letting him go, why not shop for a trade. He’s gotta have value.
There are a few OL that have already been cut, but were drafted before Capers and Cook. There was a reason that teams passed
on these guys before the 7th round.

capers and cook
We could use the O-Line depth, but garbage is garbage.
The Skins should be able to find some OL depth.
There have been over a dozen OL cut since the last week of August.
