I hate wearing burgundy at home!

And the white pants were usually rocked with a white top and the radio shack helmet, so I doubt this is any indication of that. Way to kill a tradition Shanny!

And please don’t wearing the burgundy on burgundy jerseys, we all know what happens then.

by Parks Smith on Aug 26, 2010 8:48 AM EDT reply actions

agree. Shanny, no!

We have to wear white at home b/c the Cowboys hate their blue jerseys and we have to make them wear them.

The Eagles often wear white at home against Dallas (forcing them to wear their blues), because they know that Dallas prefers wearing white. I’m a little disappointed we’re not doing that this year, too.

that was my first thought as well

but if they are breaking about the gold pants, that would be sweet.

GOLD PANTS! GOLD PANTS!

GOLD PANTS! GOLD PANTS!

Start a poll and demand that they listen to the results!

slow day…. gotta get excited about something.

what you've just said... is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I wonder if dude has anything left. Then again, we were all wondering the same about Ray Brown in 2004 and 2005.

Touche. Now that I think about it, it seems that we’ve been wondering about the OL for a long time.

Since we cut him

And since the Dolphins cut him as well, about a week after signing him, I’d say he doesn’t have much left.

Probably not.

Oh well

I think he should probably forget about football and should instead try to get a show on the Food Network or become an analyst. I’d watch him either way.

I like that Forbes calls him Jerral Jones, haha

Also didn’t realize he doesn’t own the stadium

by Parks Smith on Aug 26, 2010 9:53 AM EDT reply actions

I think the City of Arlington owns a percentage of it. They did pass a tax increase and everything. Jones covered cost overruns and the NFL also chipped in with some money.

There was some interesting talk from DeMaurice Smith today...

That the players actually pay for 20% of the stadiums. Currently, the players get 59% of the pie AFTER the NFL takes “credits” from total revenue…last year that was $1 billion.

He was on w/ the Junkies…I’m sure it’ll be transcribed somewhere shortly.

HA HA HA!!!

just saw a clip of Donovan at press conference…….he said “well they tell me it was just a….(handquotes) sprain, so we will (cracks up) no no I’m just (chuckles)”

by MagicHat on Aug 26, 2010 9:57 AM EDT reply actions

I saw that too

Most of the reporters didn’t even get it at first.

wow

the reporters are all over Haynesworth’s nutsack analyzing every little thing he does, and McNabb makes a joke about it and they don’t get it?

SpottieOttieDopaliscious

by Rekka on Aug 26, 2010 10:44 AM EDT up reply actions

Exactly

I don’t understand how they didn’t get the joke… it was like only one other person laughing besides McNabb. Just sad.

by bigrm18 on Aug 26, 2010 10:55 AM EDT up reply actions

Someone at WaPo got it didn't they?

I thought I read it yesterday. Reid or Steinberg or someone

Yeah

I remember reading it somewhere as well. But it seemed like it took them a while to even recognize what McNabb was doing.

by bigrm18 on Aug 26, 2010 11:31 AM EDT up reply actions

Donovan - funny

He did it very well (anybody remember the Chris Farley skit on SNL?) The good natured kidding ought to help the team and Albert put that little flap behind them. I think Albert knows he made a mistake and is chastened and embarrassed, and sorry he ever opened his mouth. If that is true, it was cathartic, and could help him and the team get back to the positive mentality they had the week before. Notice that Shanahan (and Haslett) explained more about what they were doing and why they were doing it – communicating better. It seems to me that everybody can now get back to normal business – like beating Dallas. Of course, I’m always the optimist.

Uniforms

Long ago – back in the dear dead days beyond recall – in football, home teams wore dark, and in baseball (and I think basketball, but not sure about that), white. Now they seem to have more flexibility – what is it, home team decides?

by Donnio1234 on Aug 26, 2010 11:41 AM EDT reply actions

thats why 90+ percent of Dallas highlights they are wearing white,

90% of their lowlights, they are wearing white as well….you just don’t see them as much….I could care less what they wear, and neither should anyone else. I just want to beat their ass, twice, every year.

by MagicHat on Aug 26, 2010 11:57 AM EDT up reply actions

White is better

Shows their blood easier..

Ech! That was a little macabre!

How does this random blogger know what the Skins are wearing week 1?

They wore white during preseason.

Furthermore has anyone ever noticed the blue stripes and numbers on the cowboys white jerseys do not match their helmet, logo, or color scheme all together?
