Redskins Sign FB Carey Davis
Update: Mike Sellers has a sprained knee, but that didn't stop the Redskins from making a move. The Redskins added 5'10, 225 lb Full Back Carey Davis, who's won a Super Bowl with Pittsburgh (blocking for Willie Parker), and spent a season in Tampa when Bruce Allen was there in 2005 (practice squad/OTAs).
As Redskins Insider reported, "Davis has 10 career starts, including one in Super Bowl XLIII, and is known primarily as a blocking back, leading the way for Willie Parker in Pittsburgh. On his career, he's tallied 118 rushing yards on 31 carries. He came off the bench in six games last season for the Steelers and had only two carries."

Did anyone get cut to make room for him?
I'm worried about the beer supply. After this case, and the other case, there's only one case left- Barney Gumble

Another Davis,
and all the Williams boys. What the heck? They may not have needed to cut anybody because they put Furrey on IR.
Indeed. No one was cut.

yet...
I think the writing is on the wall for Dennis Morris, at best, he’ll make the practice squad.

excellent!
I’m glad we have some competition at blocking back, especially after last year.
I was hoping to see
some more of Darrel Young.
