I agree with DC Pro Sports Report in that it looks "eerie." I was all for the move of putting it in the Club level, but sticking it off to the side of the lounge area by the escalators is weird. They should have put it against a wall surrounding it with pictures...giving it the feel of an actual, you know, respectful memorial.

Personally....

I would have left it in the locker room.

Where it belongs..because you know…it is a locker.

I agreed with the team that it was time to move on

Most of the players and on the current Redskins weren’t on the team so it’s jusy there. To say it’s distracting might be harsh, but the team wanted to move on without forgetting about him. I can’t argue with that.

There are quite a few...

…teams throughout sports that have player lockers like that still in the locker room.

Yankees with Thurman Munson comes to mind. But I remember reading an article when the ‘Skins first did that with #21’s that mentioned like 5 or 6 of them. Derrick Thomas of the Chiefs was one of them I believe.

I don’t see anything wrong with it.

Museum piece

Thurman Munson’s locker was moved to the Yankee Museum in the new ballpark when they moved. Maybe the club level is the closest thing to a museum that the Redskins have?

Yeah. Forgot they moved it with stadium “change”

But I still think the ‘Skins shouldn’t have moved Taylor’s locker. And if you are going to put it somewhere….put it somewhere where everyone can see it. Not just club level people.

My opposition to that...

Is that the other 2 levels at Fedex are outdoors and prone to vandalism. Fedex Field draft day party is free to anyone, so fans could see it then.

Yeah…I see your points. But I just think if you are going to move it…you have to move it someplace where everyone can see it. Lots and lots of stadiums have displays like that. For everyone. It’s this kind of mentality that makes Danny Boy either loved or hated.
