Star-divide

If Shanahan is going to run his system, he certainly needs his type of players. Two big concerns of mine were the RB and FS positions, which they addressed post draft.

Matt Terl did a great write-up on Dennis Morris at the Redskins Blog. I think everyone screamed "WTF?!!? We drafted a TIGHT END?" with the 6th pick, but that highlight video of Dennis shows what a dynamic player the Redskins added (TE/FB/H-Back). We all know Mike Sellers makes a lot of mistakes, so Dennis adds instant competition at that spot. I expect him to contribute immediately. His highlight video is a must see.

I really hope they sign Daryl Clark

Unofficial as of 3:00 est.

Smart kid who wore 17 at Penn State in honor of Doug Williams. Watched his entire career unfold there and he’s the type of guy who will do whatever it takes to succeed. Probably not an NFL QB but I hope he gets a shot.

I have met Daryl

many times, and I can tell you, he is a great person and leader. I watched his entire career at PSU. He broke a lot of records while he was there, but besided that, he is just a great human. I hope he can beat out Bartel for the 4th QB spot(if we end up carrying 4). If not, maybe he can be a practice squad player for a year or two and see how he develops.

I can tell you one thing, the kid id one of the hardest workers you will ever find. If we inserted some sort of wildhog formation, he would be an excellent QB to run it.

Dennis Morris definitely looks like a stud

Sellers was a huge disappointment last year. I’m rooting for this kid.

Classic...

Some of the comments are from people that know him and claim it be him playing around…but then I see this story and it’s hard to credit him as ‘just playing around.’

Hahahaha

This guy won’t last long.

I, too, had a class with Marques Slocum my senior year of undergrad. It was actually one of professor Hagen’s classes, one day, we split into groups to do survey work. When one of the group members called on Mr. Slocum to answer a question, he said, "Aw, shit, I don’t know – I’m not used to standing up in class. I’m used to standing up to get awards and shit." And then he left the room.

Agreed, but his poor work ethic is what got him booted off the team.

Dennis Morris

We picked him in the 6th round… and Terrence Austin with the first pick in the 7th round and then Wood and Capers. just thought you’d like to post the right information.

jevan snead would have been nice.....

i know he stunk it up last yr but it would have been nice to see him learn a proven system like the shannahans for the next 2-3 yrs and possibly emerge as our qb of the future……

Here's to hoping Shanny works his late round magic

considering we spent yet more 2nd and third round picks on non-offensive linemen.

That video of Morris is so dirty.

That kid looks nasty. So many blind side blocks, I can see him playing very well on special teams too.
Third highlight is good too, knocks the guys helmet clean off.

And again later in the video.

From what I have read Selvish Capers was a real steal and maybe the Redskins starting right tackle. The Redskins drafted Capers in the 7th (I’m not sure why he slid down but he had been projected as a 2nd or 3rd rounder). WOW! Perhaps 2 starting tackles for the next few years what a dream. Also a replace for Sellers.
