Never posted before on this site, so here I go. This afternoon the rumored moves of the Skins exploded. I've heard a deal to get Bradford, Vikings interest in Big Al, picking Clausen, the three OTs, Eric Berry (the next coming of Sean Taylor). I also think CJ Spiller is more tempting the more I hear about him.
There is no way the Skins are going to do ALL of this, so it makes sense that they are doing everything they can to trade their pick down to get multiple players. There are a dozen offensive lineman, so I don't think they want to waste the No. 4 pick on that position.
If they can trade a player, or players, for a second-round pick or two, suddenly they can pick Berry, Spiller or Clausen and still get their OT. They were just talking on the radio about how the Hogs were assembled. Mark May was a first rounder, but the rest were lower round picks, on the street, or coming off an injury or getting cut from another team.
If you only have your 4th pick, you take a LT for the next decade (remember we know that Samuels will be making the pick for the Skins). If you trade for more picks, take the best player on the board at 4. That's a pretty simple plan, eh?
