There is an article on PFT about this same scenerio, but hold on there PFT, I had this idea first. Only problem is, I didn't market mine right away, and they did. Anyways, it is pretty far fetched to even dream of, none-the-less write about, but maybe thats why they are in Journalism and I'm not. Take an idea and run with it seems to be the motto around draft day.
Here was my idea(that they copied to a point), although mine is much more greedy than theirs:
The Redskins give the Rams Albert Haynesworth, Donavan McNabb and Rocky McIntosh, plus our fourth round pick this year and our first next year for their #1 and Alex Barron. This gives the Redskins two first rounders, a fifth and a seventh in this years draft.
We draft Bradford #1 and either Okung or Williams at #4. PRESTO! Instant upgrade for the future at both positions. We now have our future at QB, and bookend OT's. We also still have Campbell that we can dangle as trade bait, and may be able to recoup that 4th round selection by moving him. The Rams get a QB and DT who are already proven in the league, and instantly upgrade their team. They also add a good, young 4-3 linebacker and have an extra 1st in next years draft to maybe find that franchise QB. They also have the 1st pick in the 2nd, in which they may be able to add a Colt McCoy to study for a year or two behind McNabb if they don't want to wait on a QB for next year.
