Shawn Andrews and Donavan McNabb know each other well from their days in Philadelphia. The talented, yet injury ridden Andrews may be making his way back to DC to reunite, and help protect his old QB.
Reports have surfaced, yet have not been confirmed, that the Redskins are looking at bringing Andrews to DC to help bolster the right side of the line. Although he made the Pro Bowl at right guard, he can also play right tackle. A healthy and motivated Andrews could be a huge addition to a Redskins unit that yielded 43 sacks last season.
The Redskins are said to be taking a wait and see approach as of now, as concerns of his work ethic, motivation and previous injuries have raised a red flag, but with such recent additions as Adam Carriker, Ryan Torain, Roydell Williams, and Maake Kemoeatu, the Redskins have shown they are willing to take a chance on talented, yet injury prone vets.
This could be something to keep an eye on during, or after the draft.
