Let me start with a disclaimer. I am in no way an NFL insider, nor do I pretend to be. This infomation was passed on to me by someone whom I speak to from time to time that gets some pretty reliablility information on the goings-on in the NFL. So in other words, Please don't kill the messenger:
It has been rumored that there are two different teams involved in trade talks with the Redskins that could involve us shipping multiple players out for draft picks. This is supposedly not a 3-way trade, but involves 2 seperate teams with more than one player involved in each scenerio. I was told one of the deals could be done before the draft, and the other may be a draft day trade. It was also mentioned that these two seperate trades could really alter the face of our franchise.
My first guess was something involving recently signed McNabb, and certain players, going to the Rams, in order for us being able to get into the #1 spot and select Sam Bradford, but it looks like my guess there was wrong. I wasn't given much info, other than what I have just passed on, but I was told to hold onto your hats on these moves, as they could be pretty big impact moves for the future of this team.
I also got the impression that our starting line-up this fall will look nothing like it would if we were to start the season today, which leaves me to think that a lot of the guys who recently signed their RFA tenders will not be Redskins much longer.
If I had to guess, Campbell, Rogers, McIntosh, Hanesworth, Moss, Cooley and possibly Landry are all on the way out, and multiple draft picks both this year and next our on their way to the Redskins. Again, this is only my guess, but with all the rumors surrounding Hanesworth, and now McIntosh, it looks like there is really something to these.
Sorry for the tease. It is killing me too. Just be ready for some fireworks withing the next week. And if my source turns out to be wrong, please don't kill me.
