Javon Walker possibility

Just read an article on him over on Yahoo. I know, I know. A lot of people will look at this guy as a injury prone, below average WR that can't contribute as a starter and that maybe true. But it is also true that we have questions at the WR position. We have three young receivers in Thomas, Kelly and Mitchell. One has shown glimpses of greatness, one has been injury prone himself and one does not seem ready to come in and contribute significantly. We also have Moss who just had an average year and there are a lot of question marks on how productive he will be this year. So there is no true harm in adding another WR to the roster.

Walker also has worked with Shannahan before and had some decent numbers working with him. He is claiming he is willing to sign for the veteran minimum which is about all that anyone should be willing to spend on him. If worse comes to worse and Welker isn't worth the roster spot, we can cut him without any problems since there is no cap. So here is the question.
