LB Larry Foote to Visit Redskins Park; Ties to LB Coach Lou Spanos
Larry Foote will be visiting Redskins Park next week as the Redskins look to add another LB for their 3-4 set. He is also visiting the Cardinals, who suddenly have a huge hole at LB position (what's his name?). Anyway, Foote has some connections with the current staff:
- LB Coach Lou Spanos coached him every year since he was drafted in the 4h round out of Michigan (save last year in DET).
Foote led the Lions in tackles despite missing 2 games (they ran a 4-3 defense). Larry Foote is a MLB and would play next to London Fletcher.

Foote
I am related to a few Steeler’s fans and have had to listen to them brag it up a lot lately. I know my cousin thinks highly of Foote. He’s no pro analyst but he’s a fan so he knows their players better than me. He likes him and from what I’ve seen of him he looks like a solid LB. I’d love to have him playing next to Fletcher.
i agree
Players are always more willing to take average $$ when they know the coach they’re playing for.
I think it’s safe to say ink Foote as a Redskin

What does that say about Rocky you think
position wise?

Why does it need to say anything about Rocky?
The Skins are going to need more ILB and OLB depth to run a 3-4 defense. If they can get it in FA, fine. If not it will be in the draft or maybe some UDFA.

Just curious to see if Rocky ends up inside or outside

Same here
I’m curious to see whether he ends up at outside linebacker or on the inside. We already know that London Fletcher should never leave the field.
Salary History....
He’ll be on the cheap relatively speaking. The way ARI cleaned house, and playing for your former coach (who’s a proven winner this past decade), I don’t see how ARI stands a chance.
