Natural Question for Today - HoF
So is Samuels a HoF’er? When you remove the emotion of the day, it is a tough question. Did he play long enough to get in? He certainly has the reputation and Pro Bowls but will it be enough? I hope so but I’m not sure….

Who will he be up against
in the voting. I guess Ogden of the Ravens, Jones of the Seahawks, Pace (based on Rams) .
He could be 3rd or 4th choice out of those four guys which gives him a tough route to the Hall.
A good player and a shame his career was shortened by injury .

Samuels

I’d like to edit:
A good player and a shame his career was shortened by injury coaching carousels and total lack of stability and organization.

i dont think he is a HOF tackle. he was a good one, but not HOF worthy. The shortened career will really hurt him at this position. And the skins never won with him.

I agree
I liked Samuels, he was a hell of a professional, and I’d love to see him get in. But I think the voting will be turned by the other LT’s in his “era.” I think he was always considered a step below the truly “elite” LT’s like Ogden, Walter Jones, and Orlando Pace. Unfortunately, I think he’s on the same level as Flozell Adams and Tra Thomas.

even though he has retired i think we should sign him to the practice squad so we can count him as depth at the O line when we tell the fans we fixed the line and want them to pony up for season tickets.
he doesnt really have to practice. conversely, maybe we can pay him to be an asst coach and count him as a player/coach
so far, the only thing that looks to have changed is dan realizes he doesnt ever want another no name coach
