Where's Hardesty?

That guy’s #1 in my books right now.

Ryan Mathews should be a 1st rounder.

If he fell to 37, it would be hard to pass on him. An excellent feature back.
Hardesty is in that 3rd round territory.
James Starks might be the fastest riser of all. An awesome showing at the combine elevates him from 6-7th to 4th, maybe even 3rd round. He’s another feature back who if available in the 4th could be a good choice.
Blount and Bell are 5th rounders, and their stock is declining. They are both bigger, slower 2 down backs.
Lonyae Miller also looked really good as a 3 down back, and should be available in the 7th.

No RBs in the 2nd round

I liked Ryan Mathewsduring the college season, but he has performed his way off of my draft board. I was hoping he would stay on the periphery of everyone’s radar and we could snag him in the 4th, but he’d be too expensive for us now.

Mathews should be gone.

Gerhart and possibly Best should be available in the 2nd.

I think Montario

would be a great role model for Speedy Dopaliscious. IMO.

With the 32nd pick of the 2032 NFL Draft

The Redskins select Speedy Dopaliscious Rekka from the University of Maryland.

If we can get Blount after the 5th round, I’ll take that pick. I think we need to bring in a speedster and a bruiser. Blount would provide the latter sufficiently. Plus as an added bonus drafting him spites my friend “Booo-urns” as he hates LeGarrete Blount and has drunkenly sworn so to the death. F%$K YOU Burns. You lose yet again.

Has anyone heard any noise about Brandon Minor

He was a hard running, serviceable back for U-M. Got caught up in all the turmoil and new blocking schemes but stuck it out. He could be a bright spot for some team for real cheap.

I just checked the combine results

for RBs. Apparently, he wasn’t there. He had a couple of nagging injuries his whole career, but ran really hard his Senior season. Good luck to ya, buddy.

UDFA maybe?

7th rounder or UDFA— bring him in.

by CarverM on Mar 3, 2010 9:32 AM EST up reply actions

I know he’s from Varina High School in Richmond area…. It would be nice to have more local flavor on the Skins.

Well that seals the deal!

Sweet!

He could be a real steal. He is a tough runner and always gets the extra yard. He has shown breakaway speed and elusiveness, but he shines after taking the initial contact.

Could be a great backup for CP if we keep him or pair him with Ganther in the backfield. He’s a true team player and was noted for his work ethic and loyalty to U-M despite the coaching turmoil and switch to a ZBS.

Haven't heard or read a single word about him.

He might try the UFL for a year or two and see what happens.

why draft

Why draft a runningback this year unless somehow we can get C.J spiller after the 4th pick? I say we go get Thomas Jones from free agency trade C.P and try to get Michael Bush from the raiders also. Wait till mr.Heisman(Mark Ingram) comes out to the draft and we do wat we gotta do to trade and get him in a year. Thomas Jones has another year or 2 maybe 3 where he’ll rush for over 1000 yards and well Michael Bush can do the same

Are you pushing for one, a couple or all of these options?

Also, doubt if we get anyone to bite on Portis with his contract. Don’t think anyone you mentioned would be a significant upgrade for CP if he comes to camp in shape with the right attitude.

I'm pulling for Tate, from Auburn.

He look quick and decisive with limited carries in the Senior Bowl, and recently had an excellent combine. Was one of the fastest RB’s, and did well in the broad, long and verticle as well as the 3 cone drill. If he can be had in the 4th, he’s my #1 option.
