Caption It: Julius Peppers & Brian Orakpo

I really don't see how adding 30 year old Julius Peppers for an exorbitant amount helps this team, but perhaps it's smoke and mirrors. OK...caption it...

that would really suck he we got him. and it is too much money on the D line. this was printed in the post yesterday-
On April 1, Haynesworth is due a $21 million option bonus that is guaranteed. Combined with his signing bonus of $5 million and first-year base salary of $6 million, Haynesworth, in his first 14 months with the Redskins, will have received $32 million of the $41 million he is guaranteed.

so AH is about done playing for us. maybe one more year then he will bitch about being stuffed in the middle having to go through three blockers if he wants to hit a QB. he isnt sticking around for that shitty assignment if he did not even get in shape last year!

Rak – “OK, I’ll try this one more time – You’re a DE who wants to play outside ‘backer. I’m an outside ‘backer who wants to play DE. NOW do you see what I’m saying?”

Peppers – “Yeah, but how much am I getting PAID?”

exactly

I don’t like Peppers attitude and I think he’d be a huge locker room liability.

Are you guys really complaining about a Peppers/Orakpo duo?

Do you realize how rediculous the two of them are? They are basically like the Monstars on Space Jam.

by SSBlitz on Mar 2, 2010 9:58 AM EST reply actions

you do remember

that the Monstars got their asses whooped at the end by a bunch of nobody’s right? Sort of like what happened with the Lions this past year.

And Newman was a strong 6th man, something the Monstars overlooked.

This particular thread

just made my Tuesday. I almost want Peppers so we can call them the Monstars.

Almost.

I'll sign off on it if they make a music video

“You hit ’em high hit ’em high hit ’em high, and I hit ’em low hit ’em low hit ’em low”

Play that over the speakers in Fedex after every sack.

Imagine lining up with Okrapo, Haynesworth, Fletcher, Carter, Landry, Dansby, and Peppers across from you. You know you’re about to get dummy’d from one direction or another.

by SSBlitz on Mar 2, 2010 10:41 AM EST up reply actions

I really just put Dansby’s name in there for fun. I’d rather see McIntosh there.

by SSBlitz on Mar 2, 2010 10:52 AM EST up reply actions

and we will still have no offense and win 6 games tops

SKIP ON LANDRY

How’s about Antrelle Rolle or a 3rd Year C.Horton or the solid tackler R. Doughty.

I bought that soundtrack off of the

Columbia House 12 CDs for $.01 deal. You remember those things? Been a while now.

by CarverM on Mar 2, 2010 2:09 PM EST up reply actions

I'm shocked you would admit

that you own that soundtrack

For serious.

This thread has now made my day twice.
I would be remiss if I neglected to say that I not only owned the VHS and soundtrack, but if I recall my sister had a Space Jam coloring book. True story.

Sidenote: Mugsy Bogues was a GameChanger.

If Vinny Cerrato were a Monstar

He would’ve picked Shawn Bradley too. Worst player…

by SSBlitz on Mar 2, 2010 7:25 PM EST up reply actions

they get paid more so expect prices to go up up up

I didnt notice that...nice.

"I am excited about starting 2009. We are looking forward to an outstanding year. We're on our way. We have a lot of healthy players this year." - Vinny Cerrato

i think the conversation is going

something like this: Orakpo- “So if you’re rushing on the other side of me, and Haynesworth is plugging up the middle, how many sacks do you think we’ll combine for? Like 20?” Peppers- “Naw, youngin, try 30 or 40.”

by samthemantis on Mar 3, 2010 1:20 AM EST reply actions

I think you give peppers too much credit haha

I think it goes more like
Rak- “So if you’re rushing on the other side of me and Haynesworth is plugging up the middle, how many sacks do you think we’ll combine for? Like 20?”
Peppers- “Julius hungry.”

by DoWork on Mar 3, 2010 2:31 PM EST up reply actions

Peppers-You just act like you’re coming, and let me get the sack. I don’t want people bitching about my Haynesworth contract.

by CarverM on Mar 3, 2010 5:34 PM EST up reply actions

Great that Synder is willing to spend $ to bring in top FAs

He’s always open. He catches a lot of balls. He’s un-guardable, no matter how old he is
