Ok, to start off no this has not happened yet. But, if and when "the quarterback Jesus" that is Tim Tebow falters , what will the football universe think? Will he be ran through the ringer like Tiger Woods, or given a free pass and a job like Mark Macqwire? For those of you on here that despise everything that is "LJP" but adore Tim "qb Jesus" Tebow get a life. For those that figured out the " LJP" thing is just a schtick (I think I spelled that right ) good job. Part of what I do is just a attempt at satire. Now back to Tebow, what bothers me about T. Tebow is he really believes what he says.This man honestly thinks he can walk on water, save the whales, end all wars, cure aids and leap tall buildings in a single bound like super man.
Can you guys imagine having this guy in Washington? He will be leading marches on a monthly basis down Penn Ave. We will be spending more time on HH talking about the Tebow protest/ march of the month, then L. Landry getting burnt. in coverage. Is it me or is he a little over the top with the "God Bless" thing. He says "God Bless" to any and everything and question asked of him. A reporter will ask him what type of cereal he likes. Of course we all know the answer to that question ( wheaties ) since it is "the breakfast of champions." But of course he will follow that answer with "God Bless." He responds with "God Bless" even after answering a question about his shoe size. This to me is really annoying. By the way, he is already talking about his life outside of football, and using football as his platform for bigger things. (what does this really mean?)
If T. Tebow is such a great guy, why does he not give his invitation to attend the draft to a real first round pick? I would be pizzed if I were a real 1st rd pick and did not get to go, but Tebow was invited. They only invited 18 players and we all know, Tebow will not be drafted nearly that high. If any Gm were to draft Tebow that high, they would not have their job very long.

Scott, The vote totals about Tebows number one priority after getting drafted are.
14 for saving his career as a QB
7 for saving lost souls/ converting non-Christians
6 for other
2 for saving abandoned puppies
2 for saving the world
Scott what do these numbers tell you ? Do they tell a lot of people think Tebow is more interested in things other then football. IE saving lost souls/ converting non- Christians.

Carver, I think you missed the point of the post smart azz. Can anyone on HH not say that this guy is being propped up like he is the next Joe Montana? This is a very big time for a lot of these guys and Tebow is getting the press that a
normal 1st rd stud would get and he is not even close to a 1st rd pick. If you watch his recent interview he talks about using football as a platform. Football as a platform, is more important to him then football the game. For those of you that think Tebow is a normal guy you are wrong. If and when Tebow has the chance to use his platform in a major way lookout. He will at that time put his message before the game. This guy is more of a religious zealot then the late great Reggie White. This guy is a extremely hard worker on and off the field. So if football is just a means to spreading his message as he says it is. I can only imagine to what length he will go to spread it..

I can honestly say
he’s not being propped up like the next Joe Montana. He’s being described as a 2nd to 3rd round project. However, he is an interesting story. The kid is athletic and is the star quarterback for a several time national champtionship contending team. That kind of thing warrants press…
And as far as spreading the message or being religious and using Reggie White as an example? Reggie White could have preached for the half time show and on one would have had a problem with it the way he played the game..

Maybe I did react a little harshly to what seemed to me to be a very unfair and offensive post, but LJP has a history of personal attacks and extreme language. So what (football) point about Tebow do you disagree with, so much so that I’m an idiot for saying it? I got almost all of the evaluation from HH. How do you evaluate Tebow? What language seems out of line to you? The original post by LJP does rate as “contemptible drivel”. Or do you guys hate Tebow, too? By the way, I am neutral on Tebow, maybe willing to take him in the 4th round (as a “project”) if no really good O-line prospect is available. I agree with the consensus on HH that JC is an “average” NFL QB, but I think we can do better than “average”.

I think he has a lot of the same beliefs as Joe Gibbs
But you never saw Gibbs leading any marches. Tebow did do that one commercial, but he did it after his season was over. I’ve never heard of him doing any political/religious activism during the football season (other than putting scripture passages on his eye patches. I don’t really agree with most evangelical politics, but that doesn’t mean I think there’s anything inherently wrong with this guy as a person. Do I think he’ll be great in the NFL? No. But he isn’t going to stop working on his game because he all of a sudden has enough money to go out and spread the good news. He’s passionate about football as well as religion, and most NFL players have some kind of charity that they fund, run, or work with.

Nobody ever doubted the abilities of any of those guys. But Spiller is not worth the #4 pick, and Cribbs was never within our grasp, so why obsess over them? As for Tebow, if you hate the fact that the media is building him up, wait until they bring him down. And I’m not even talking about a scandal. If his handlers are dumb enough to let show up to RCMH on draft day, then he’s gonna get the embarrassment of his life, and the media is gonna record, and dissect, every minute of it, providing him footage to relive probably the worst night of his life for years to come. And, unless (by some long shot) he becomes a good NFL quarterback, that draft night debacle will probably be his legacy.
So, while I have no feelings one way or the other towards Tebow, I think it is ridiculous that the NFL is inviting him to the draft. There is no doubt whatsoever they are doing it for the drama factor, to ensure that their new format gets plenty of ratings. Not one person attached to the league thinks Tebow is going in the 1st round, which means they are purposely capitalizing off his shame, and the media is gonna lap up every minute of it.
