Cleveland trades Quinn
These actions suggest that Cleveland is looking to draft a QB in the draft to develop behind Delhomme. Seneca Wallace is obviously not the answer for them. This could be great for us. If Clausen or even Bradford is at the 4 position we have a chance to trade back and pick up some decent picks. They could even trade with the lions at #2 to pick a QB which would mean Okung would drop to us at 4#. Only negative (in terms of who this site wants to draft) would be if they trade up with St. louis and grab Bradford and the lions take okung, but this is more of a neutral for us since that is the draft order many are predicting as of right now. In any case, this is a win for us.

I don't think you bring in Delhomme to bring in JC
I was think about it, but I just don’t see it happening.

Orton is tendered like Campbell, and he isn't in their plans.
They blew it last year with Cutler, and had to settle. Quinn may get a chance to compete, but he was virtually free and has a low ceiling now. Denver is also a good team that is building ahead, and a quality QB is a must for their offense. They may draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to get one in the 1st.
Do you think
Seattle would give us their two firsts for ours? Maybe if we threw in our fourth overall and a lower rd pick we could grab seattles two firsts. We might still be able to grab Okung with their sixth. And then maybe a Campbell or other OL with the fourteenth.
The Broncos have the eleventh so we would need to have another pick added but wouldn’t have to give any other picks.
Browns have the seventh so would end up in same situation as Broncos getting another pick.
Seattle is my favorite trade scenario. I would think giving up our first and second for Seattle’s two first rounders. What would you all think of this?
Only if Seattle is desperate
They have a huge hole in their line at LT just like us. One of their first rounders is to address that issue especially with the explosion of linemen that are expected to go in the first. Getting a high second rounder would be good for them, but I think they want to address their two biggest needs being LT and QB. Also i doubt that okung drops to sixth. Pretty sure the cheifs would snag him if he fell.

They may consider that
if we gave them our second as well. I would certainly love that. Their 2 firsts, for our 1st and 2nd. Problem is, if their trading up to try and get Bradford, they many not be high enough at #4, as the Rams still could take him 1st overall.
Seattle would swap 4 and 6, then add a 4th this year and 4th next year.
Denver would swap 1st rd picks, add a 3rd this year, and 4th next year.
Or something along those lines.
Depending who was on the board, I might make those trades.
I can see Denver making a play for Bradford.
He would fit into their system, they may also go for McCoy.
I don’t think Buffalo trades up at all, their financial situation does not look good.
They may trade down, and draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round.
Well in the future
I hope we can become one of these teams that have good first rounders all the time. Even though they do good. I know a few times I’ve seen the Patriots with midrange first rounders even though they were in the playoffs. Just because they make good draft trades and get picks in the future.
