Peyton Manning you deserve no respect
As of last nite
I myself have lost all respect I ever had for Peyton Manning , After watching him pout on the bench and eventually losing to the Saints , Peyton ( Pouty Man ) Manning put his helmate on his swollen head and ran straight to the locker room , I think that was a very shitty move on his part and goes to show you that he's a poor sport , The man did not even congradulate Drew Brees or any other Saints player that I seen , If you ask me I think he acted like a little bitch ! Peyton I thought you were a classy quarterback but you proved me wrong , Thanks alot asshole !!

Peyton is an Animal
I don’t disagree that it might have been rude of him, but you gotta love his passion to win. He’s just so competitive that he hates loosing and you gotta like that attitude out of a QB

Yea, I hate watching my team out there laughing and joking with the opposition....
after getting their @$$ handed to them.
LeBron got heat from not shaking hands after the loss in the playoffs last year.
And Crosby against the Red Wings too. These players are the undisputed leaders of their team and just lost in the championship game. Give em a break.
I give Peyton a pass on that, in the heat of battle.
Peyton is a top 10 QB of all time, but unless he gets another ring, he doesn’t crack top 5.
So ur tellin me that dan mariono isn’t in the top 5 qb’s ever because he never one a super bowl? Bull they are both probably the best and peyton manning I think will pass all the records set by marino and farve the second ring is meeningless in saying he isn’t one of the best ever its all about stats and he has atleast one ring. And manning probably will call or even visit drew brees and the other saints he’s a stand up guy he’s always doin the right things I’m sure he’ll do something to congradulate them.

We're getting off topic
This isn’t a post about who is the best QB ever. It’s about what is expected of the players after the biggest game they may ever play in their lives. I think it’s safe to say that not everyone will react the same. Given all the personal effort Manning puts into preparing for each game, and that he basically got suckered into throwing the game losing INT, he was pretty pissed at himself for not making another call. I think it’s simple as that.
Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.
It is better to walk away then,
to say or do something stupid. Of course, we all want to see good sportsmanship, but after a tough loss, I can see the need to blow off steam. Manning was composed in interviews afterwards at least.
I'm not familiar with QB customs
but I guess.
They spend most of their careers in that position anyways, so it makes sense.

Im sure there was no ill will from the Saints or Brees
If it were a regular season game or playoffs even I would think it a little wrong of Peyton. But the title games are so wild and the winners are so exceited that im sure Drew didnt even think about Peyton at all. Peyton has won the SB before he knows what the winners are thinking they are more than likly only thinking about the rest of their team.
"When the rich wage WAR its the POOR that die!!!"
Peyton, acted like a spoiled brat after the loss. I am glad I had already turned form the game. I had always looked at Peyton as having more class than that.
Peyton does not deserve a pass for his actions, he deserves a kick in the azz. If Jason had done the samething some people would be asking for him to apologize.

you hit the nail rite on the head

I truly think we are going overboard.....
Peyton Manning is a competitor…..like him or love him. I got scouted by Tennessee as a midfielder in lacrosse….and part of that recruiting.,…is I got to go see Peyton play his senior year. I came away unimpressed. So much so….that in 98……(I collect cards still….I know….I know) that I chased Ryan Leaf. When I sat in the stadium…and watched Peyton play….I saw lofted, slow arriving balls. I saw a boring ass game. Totally unimpressed. I lost a lot of money going after Ryan Leaf instead of Peyton….but he has won me over. Is he fun to watch compared to a drew Brees…Brett Favre….hell no. He is boring as fuck. Nobody…..and I repeat….nobody….prepares like Peyton Manning. His games are boring…because he is so good…..such a competitor. He says he didn’t shake hands bc it was the Saints time…..and that he got in touch with Brees by text message that night. Brees has corroborated. That should be enough….but if not….so what if he is a sore loser. We all can be….and he is at the highest level of competition in his sport. He is competing for his name to be #1 when you talk QB in the NFL of all-time…..he is competing to get a 2nd SB……he is out there to establish his family name as the best of all time. That’s a lot of pressure…and anyone whom has ever watched Peyton play….has seen on his face the pressure he puts on himself. He is coming from the nut sack of a NFL QB…..he has one SB…..his brother has 1 SB…….he has everything to lose. So what if he didn’t stick around. If you knew he went to his hotel room and cried…..would that make it better???? Anyone on here who has played football at any level knows what I am talking about. Give the guy a break…he plays like a robot,…..but he is human….like me or you. The guy next to you gets the promotion you have been fighting for…..you shake his hand no matter what? or do you grit your teeth and go back to the drawing board? If Peyton Manning was a Skin…..would this even be a discussion?
I see where you are coming from
I can agree with some of what you said but he could have showed a little bit of class , It takes all of a few seconds to shake someones hand and say congrats , And then you can run to the locker room and cry , Pro sports or not , I’d almost guarantee you that if the situation were reversed, Brees would have at least told Peyton good game before he stormed off the field , But i do respect and understand your opinion.

No....I agree......
I am just saying…..look at what this guy has on his shoulders…..not even just by himself…but by us! I understand sportsmanship….and am all for it…..but this is one of those deals where I think bc he is Peyton Manning….he is better served to do what he did. If they didn’t just run into each other…..Peyton would have showed sportsmanship by finding Brees…….but that would be the pic in every paper the next day. Not only that…..but being that Peyton is Peyton….I guarantee some would have slighted him by searching out Brees as glorifying himself in some why. I mean literally put yourself in that situation….damned if you do….damned if you don’t. I, however, am old-school……and feel that you find out whomever and shake their hand….i am just saying….we need to put ourselves in these guys shoes sometimes. It is so easy sitting behind a computer…to say what we would do….but would we really?
I really don't balme him
You know what happens after you lose the superbowl? Everyone cheers for the winner, confetti red, white and blue goes everywhere and they hold an award ceremony afterwards. Losing the superbowl is the most disappointing thing thing you can do in football, give him a break for Christ’s sake.

I had no respect to lose
I find it impossible to respect a guy who EVERY SINGLE TIME a pass is intercepted or incomplete finds a way to blame the receiver I AM NOT TALKING 70% or even 95% BUT 100% OF THE TIME HE BLAMES
- Poor Route Running
- Incorrect direction on the cut
- occasinally the ref and not his teammate
I’d just love for once someone to turn around (And Reggie Wayne had the opportunity to do it) and just say "No Peyton, that was your fault, you call the plays (or so we are led to beleive when all goes well*) and you called the cut AND YOU THREW THE BALL TO PORTER
- isnt it also funny how we are always told the Peyton is such a genius cos he calls the plays and changes the plays at the line of scrimmage, yet in this game with the 3 p*ssweak runs to end the 1st half, no-one, NOT ONE of his fawning supporters in the media have said
“Manning was weak there” or things to that effect
rather all the criticism has been for Caldwell for calling them plays, well based on that logic how come Caldwell was not coach of the year for calling all them plays in a 14-2 Season
RIdiculous double standards
