First Chad Rinehart, now Byron. It's a shame because these are players fighting for roster spots, and there's not much tolerance for these kind of actions.

sad……hopefully they cut him. while the owner needs to have his hands off, we need players who can be upstanding citizens and play well. i want to have a team of honorable players, not people who get in trouble with the law.

Don't cast stones if you live in a glass house... First we need to find out all the details before we pass judgement.

Was he just driving in the wrong place or time of day driving a nice car? When he was pulled over was he breaking a law? Did the officer smell anything at that time and then test him for it ? Did he barely test out as impaired? How many of us have driven drunk before?( a few, some, all of us ? ) Hey, for those that say they have never drove drunk before but buzzed, according to the commercial Buzzed Driving Is Drunk Driving.. LOL

By the way Chad Rhinehart was trying to break into a pizza restaurant while drunk, that is a little different. LOL By the way I have had family members killed by drunk driven accidents. If this is a common thing for Westbrook I would have a issue, other then that give him a chance.

KevinE, It is easy to say that he was weaving after you pull him over and smell booze. How can he defend the fact that he was not weaving after he tests positive for DUI?

He was driving a Mercedes in the early hours of the morning. Maybe you did not know but police officers do this all the time. They make up a reason to pull you over hoping that you have been doing something wrong. If you have been drinking then they arrest you, if not they just write you a warning ticket or just let you go without one.

All of that

doesn’t excuse the fact the he was driving drunk or tipsy or whatever.

This is one of those things that pisses me off, because not only can you screw up your own life, but the life of somebody else that has nothing to do with you because you decided that 1) You didn’t know when to say that’s enough for me tonight. 2) Because you decided to get behind the wheel of a vehicle when you’ve been drinking.

It’s a choice that he made, and he’s paying the consequences for it. The way all of our parents told us was going to happen when we got older.

he failed his sobriety tests...think the cop was right on this one.

If he can’t walk a line, he probably wasnt driving one either.

These Guys Suck

My only memory of Byron Westbrook is him running into a punt and giving the ball away to the other team.

Grand scheme of things

Now I don’t want to sit here and say that a DUI or DWI isn’t a big deal, because I believe it is; but who here really thinks that these incidents are taken really seriously?

First off money isn’t a issue, I mean really the fines for these are a joke and jail time if any is usually a couple of hours to days at the very most. These are all young men who feel invincible because of fame, money, etc.

If the NFL wants to take this issue seriously they should make all persons go to see victims of drunk drivers if they themselves where found guilty of DUI.

I'm worried about the beer supply. After this case, and the other case, there's only one case left- Barney Gumble
