Looking at the big picture. What about our wideouts!!?
I just have to get this off my chest. First of all I think it's one thing that we all agree on here and that's upgrading the offensive line, the 'Jc haters" and the "Jc lovers" pretty much from what I seen so far on HH agree with this notion. As far as the "Jc lovers" most think we also need more playmakers particularly at the wide receiver position. Although I can't argue with having more playmakers, of course, but what annoys me is that these same people are pretty much labeling our 2008 draft class as busts. My reasoning is how do you know we need more playmakers if we have yet to see what marko or kelly can do. We've all seen glimpses of davis and thomas and can pretty much see they can/will be playmakers. I mean sure we all knew we should have drafted o-line that year but we didn't. But what we did do is bring in alot of offensive talent so lets push them and see what they got (since none of us really knows) instead of writing them off and try to find an already established playmaker in cribbs or whoever. We have our own playmakers and young ones too, why not develop them into everything you guys want to go out and buy from other teams. Everyone has every excuse in the world for the QB, what about our wideouts, i mean we did pretty much invest the 2008 draft in them. They haven't had a lot of chances and sure as hell haven’t been with us for 5 seasons. Besides the o-line, if it's any position we should cater to it's our receivers because that's what we invested in in 08, even if it means finding another qb. Remember thomas, kelly, marko, davis, those guys are our future on the offense.....instead of paying playmakers from other teams or trying to make things kindergarten easy for the qb, we need to protect our investment and find out how to maximize the young receivers we have because afterall none of us know how good they are or going to be.
