The defensive end position in the 3-4 is most similar to the defensive tackle in the 4-3.  Where as the outside linebacker in the 3-4 is most comparable to the DE in the 4-3.  There is pass defense coverage for the 3-4 OLB in many situations but not always.  Orakpo is thought to have greater potential at the 3-4 OLB position than he did as used in 2009 LB/DE (rated 27th - .

Pass coverage and run defense hurt his overall rating.
