Rebuilding?

There has been something that I have thought to be absolutely silly going around here, that everyone is obsessed with rebuilding. That we have to get rid of veterans, Campbell, and other perfectly fine players so that we can get a swarm of young players who could hopefully play well. This is just crazy to me. The Jim Zorn era was the rebuilding phase, and many of you look past that. Time to look through a different perspective guys, because we don't need to spend another four years with a losing record when we could win next year. Let me break it down for you guys.

QB: Campbell is better then half the quarterbacks in the league, but everyone seems on the boat to grab a rookie, who, regardless of if it is Clausen or Bradford, will still be bottom 10 if they play. Those same people think that Grossman, Garcia, or Kitna (not picking on Jefferson, but those would be the main 3) can help us win until then. Grossman is the most inconsistent quarterback ever. Kitna lost his job in Detroit to Culpepper (yeah, he was injured, but he still isn't in Detroit), and Garcia hasn't really played in a year. No reason to get rid of Campbell right now.

WR: Why does everyone want to get rid of Moss/Randle El? Moss was a monster in Gibbs system, but Zorn didn't have Moss going deep enough. Simple, but fixable issue. Randle El is no special teamer, but assuming this guy is the 4th WR, he is the best 4th WR in the league, because the guy has good hands, quickness, and talent. Take him out of PRs, but the guy is still a player. D. Thomas and M. Kelly can start, but we don't need to get rid of everybody, because we are good here.

OL: This is the huge key. So many people want to neglect OL, but you forget that we are in trouble at LT and RG. LTs don't just happen. This is a position that needs to be addressed highly in the draft, assuming that no franchise LT is gonna hit the FA market, and it should (in my opinion) be addressed by drafting Okung or Campbell, because we need someone who is not gonna get burnt on plays against real DEs (Davis is too slow for all of you people who like him). RG can be addressed in FA or draft, but it is pretty important as well considering the fact that there is no insurance that Rinehart is gonna be good to go next year.

DB: Everyone wants Rogers out, and everyone has their opinions at FS. Rogers, outside of Blache's system, was a great corner, who, while he still has no hands, was a very good cover corner. He does not need to leave, because he is still a good corner, and there is no insurance that we are gonna magically sign FA. FS, yeah, I understand that we need a FS, but Kareem Moore had a solid year and there is no telling what some different coaching could do for Landry.

Some of you guys think you can rebuild just like you are playing Madden. Cut somebody, magically sign an amazing FA who would never become an FA, or draft someone who is instantly great. Football doesn't work like that. If you have something that isn't broken (QB, DB, WR), then don't fix it. But if you have something that is (OL), you can't just neglect it, you HAVE to fix it. We could be a playoff team next year, but all half of you want to do is tear down all of the good we have so that you can have your Madden Dream Team and that maybe in six years we'll be playing for a Super Bowl. We have too much talent to just get rid of it all, we have to keep all of the guys we have, and when we find we have an upgrade at one position or another, then you get rid of the other person, not getting rid of somebody before knowing that your move is going to be good. You can't just see someone's talent like you can read someone's overall in Madden.
