It is looking more like the O-linemen available at the top of the draft are similar in skill level. This has been my point all along. I know some people say we should draft O-linemen first no matter what. This would make alot of sense if their were O-line standouts at the top of the draft. In my once again (humble opinion) I am also looking at the type of linemen that we need for Shanahans blocking scheme. For his scheme you do not need a Hog type linemen. We can find small quick undersized linemen anywhere. It is alot harder to find a big lineman with slooberknocker drive you off the ball one on one skills. This is why I think we should draft or trade one of our first two picks for a game changer ( CJ Spiller or Joshua Cribbs type player). I am not interested in drafting guys that might be this or that. It does not take a rocket scientist to know that Spiller is a play maker. He could at least start right away returning kicks. If you look at alot of the other runningbacks they are hit or miss at the next level. I don't feel like it is necessary for me to even comment about Joshua Cribbs. Because we all know what he can do. By the way for those of you that say he is going to cost to much, he makes alot less then Randle el does. Can anyone say that he would not be one of our top three most valuable players, if we picked him up?
I know some of you guys are tired of hearing about Joshua Cribbs. To be honest, I am not posting about Cribbs because I think we will get him. I am posting about him hoping that we will spend more time talking about some more questionable team needs. (Spiller, Deangelo Williams, Cribbs or Felix Jones type players) Think about how many wasted posts were written about Tim " The Qb Jesus"' Tebow. I know he is a nice guy, but do we really need a QB? I think we all know that we need O-linemen. I think we all know that Shanny is good at making "chicken salad out of chicken shick" with O-linemen. Why can we not spend more time talking about real potential players/ game changers instead of O-linemen. Their are alot less potential game changers available then Zone blocking O-linemen.
