Just a thought on the evaluation process and next year.

And if this has already been discussed prior to my asking, I apologize.

It seems as though many of us fans can clearly see that the stubbourness of Kyle shanahan as OC and his failure to utilize players to their strengths/ compromise on the sheme and playcalling as as much to blame, if not more so for the struggles of the offense this year. Some have pointed out that while Mcnabb may have been sluggish at times, and occasionally struggled to complete short passes any of us drunks could do in the parking lot, he did show flashes of brlliance this year. Particularly on the last drive of the tampa game.

Basically my point is, if its this obvious that all of the blame for this offensive fiasco this year does not lie solely at the feet of mcnabb, is it possible that Shanahan (father) Allen, and even snyder realize the real problem may lie elsehwere? Perhaps Shanahan (in his heart) wants to keep mcnabb around for another year, but decided to let his son see if his theories hold any water whatsoever. If kyle shanahans claims that grossman is more than capable in this offense, and these next two weeks backfire, is it possible he os the one who gets the axe next yr, we bring in a guy like kubiak for the new oc, keep mcnabb around, draft other positions of need this year, and go hard for the kid from missouri next year? Perhaps even taken a leap of faith that a guy like locker, ponder or stanzi will be available in the 2nd round to groom behind mcnabb for a year or two? Perhaps this is just a pipe dream, but hey , its the redskins – you never know!
