It has been a while, but the McNabb story needs addressing...
This is such a ridiculous development. And this has nothing to do with the "race politics" of the earlier McNabb benching that some media members point to (I'm mostly speaking about PTI), followed by the weird contract-extension-but-not that McNabb got.
What I don't get is why the team would turn to Grossman. He has done nothing if not prove to the world that he cannot play. And it is not like he is a young QB with some hidden potential. He's 30. At least with John Beck, you can say the team would be looking toward the future.
This is why the team, under Snyder, is the laughing stock. And I'm not going into the "once proud franchise" territory here. They are just unbelievably bad, in terms of the team, the ownership and everything in between. It is pretty obvious that Donovan won't be back... but to start him, bench him, start him, extend him, bench him like this is just insane.
I was not a fan of getting Donovan in the first place because this team needed to get younger. Now, they are almost forced into drafting a QB early in the draft. But they only have 2 picks (a first and second unless I'm mistaken) until the 5th round. So, to fill all the holes this team has, they have 1 "high" draft pick other than the QB pick. Oh, and it isn't like the Skins have a track record of drafting well.
This is just bad. And I'm going to end with that. Happy holidays... or something.
Rex fucking Grossman.

ALL TOO TRUE
Snyder’s tenure plumbs new depths with each passing day and judging from this latest move, it is only gonna get worse. He owns the team and clearly things will keep spiraling downwards as long as he does.
I gave up on baseball when they took my Senators away for the SECOND TIME. Now I guess I’ll give up pro football…even though calling the Redskins “professional” is one heck of a stretch.
I Don't Hate Snyder
This guy is doing everything he can to make a winning team. Its obvious he completely ignorant of football, but come on, this guy is spending his money like crazy to get a team he can be proud of. This guy wants to win. You don’t think he knows that the fans hate him with a passion? This guy is trying. Blame Cerrato and the sorry excuse for a front office. They are the ones that are supposed to know about football, not Snyder. I know i’m taking a risk of being shunned by redskins nation by defending Snyder, but this guy is a human being too. He wants everyone to like him. This guy is trying, blame Cerrato for being a screw up. And the shanahans, i see why he got fired. Hasbum too.
I'm guessing you're like 16 years old
Wait about 10 more years of Dan Snyder rule and then tell me how you feel

In a way I agree with you on Snyder
Don't ever let failure get you down. Remember, a very successful major league hitter failes 70% of the time.
"At least with John Beck, you can say the team would be looking toward the future."
I guess you didn’t know that John Beck is 29.
Right now for 2011, I count like four players we can count on-Trent Williams, Brian Orakpo,Hmmmm… Okay make that 2
Grab your pitchforks and torches people, the revolution has begun!

Little harsh in the current Redskins "77
Besides Rak and Williams:
we also know that Landry can play in this type of 3-4 defense. We know Alexander is a player, no matter where you put him on the field. Maybe OLB isn’t his best position, but he needs to be on the field somewhere.
I would also count on the following:
Cooley
Licht(i think he’s played better than many have given him credit for)
Brown(as he’s gotten healthier, his play has improved)
Hall
McIntosh(hope he doesn’t hit FA)
Banks(very dangerous when returing kicks)
Carriker(his play over the last few weeks has improved greatly)

I know it looks a little harsh, but let me explain a little
First your list-
Chris Cooley I have a bad feeling he won’t be with the skins next year
Lichth has played well at times, and crappy at other times. Not dependable yet.
Brown wishful thinking I’m afraid, he’s blown into the backfield consistently on pass protection.
I forgot about Landry, a solid player and signed.
D’Angelo Hall is fine as long as the rest of the secondary can make up for his gambling.
Macintosh is gone, I really think he’s fed up with the Redskins and will probably be offered a good amount of money by somebody else.
Banks is a one-dimensional return man, we know how long these guys last especially when they’re under 190 pounds.
Carriker is by far the best linemen we have on defense, but that’s not saying much. Still, I agree that he has been getting better as the season goes on. Let’s just hope that that continues all through next season, then we may have a good player there
Alexander I. agree is a very versatile player, but this coaching staff can’t seem to figure out how to maximize his strengths. He’s wasted on this team right now.
I really feel like the 2010 Redskins have more holes than the 2009 Redskins-how can anybody label that is progress? Other than Williams, I think you’d be hard-pressed to say we improved at any position. And I don’t really see it getting much better in 2011 because I think Shanahan is going to burn a lot of resources to draft a quarterback high in the first round-I sure hope I am wrong.

We definitly improved our O-Line
Do we still need help there? Yes. But it is a better group, especially with the immergence of the young guys, than it was last season.

Boswell made an interesting point about player's treatment and the free agent market. The shananigan moves have done
nothing to induce free agents to come to the Washington Redskins. Now it is players beware.
Well, it's all on the line now...
They said Grossman’s practices have deserved him a start…so, if he shits the bed, the Shannys have no excuses but to admit they fucked up royally.
The fact the locker room is against the Rex promotion tells me Grossman is not having good practices. It will all come out that Shanny2 blows. Skins have three really tough tests. You think the second half down 3 scores players will be trying? Urr..no.
