53 Lorenzo Alexanders to go please.....

In the midst of this season filled with inconsistency......there is one constant.......Lorenzo Alexander.  Every week when I watch with high anticipation of complete disappointment......there is one shining star.  One totally selfless guy that I feel like I can honestly say gives 110% week in....week out....no matter what.       more after the jump.....

Star-divide

That's effort....look at the score.....we need more guys like this.  Sorry to sound so "LJP" on you guys but the proof is in the pudding...and all I have to do to back it up is tell you to watch every week if you don't already know.

LA has played what now?!?!  DE, DT, OLB, OL, TE, Special Teams........have you ever seen, heard, or read of this guy complaining? He is well spoken, courteous, and not self absorbed on camera.  He plays special teams and is in the very next play on defense...no matter where they put him.  I feel like every week there is a few plays (especially on special teams) where I think he may have just put some chump in traction.  He is one of the few Skins I feel like we can honestly say HTTR to anymore.  I am not necessarily knocking the effort from the Eagles game....with the exception of 92 (I refuse to mention his name anymore)....I didn't see anyone give up really.  I also don't see many putting in the effort every play that LA puts out either.  Is this organization ever going to figure out that filling the roster w/ 53 Lorenzo type players will take us farther than all of our millionaires????

The second point I want to make......I know it's hard for all of us real fans right now.  Let's focus on the positives we have.....let's stay positive ourselves.  We all were coming into the season with low expectations...and some of us got fooled into believing this could be a one year turnaround.  It's not......just come to terms with it now.  WE ARE NOT GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS LET ALONE THE SUPER BOWL!!!  Say that aloud to yourself....take a deep breath....and let's move on with constructive ways to build this team through FA and the draft.    Who else on this team do you guys feel like is a max effort kind of guy?  The obvious is London Fletcher....this article could easily be titled "We need 53 London Fletchers!!!"  I love what Landry is doing this year...I don't know if he is max effort every play but he is a lot closer than he was last year!  I think Banks is another high effort guy although he has size limitations and his hands are suspect.  He wouldn't be here w/out a huge heart.  Keep them coming guys and gals!!!

i thought we’d lose 44-7 when i heard they gave a contract extension.. but i still picked them to win because i cant pick against them, bad idea. But i didnt even see that coming.

Silver lining

the one thing I liked from Alexander last night, was that when Vick basically embarrassed him, standing him up and making him miss in a manner that you could see Zo had no chance when Vick was still 4 metres in front of him, after the play, even though it was a blowout by that point LA was totally pissed at himself for letting Vick slip by, that showed me he actually gave a fuck, which cant be said for all of them last night, certainly not Haslett, who still in the midst of a complete beatdown of his defensive scheme, refused to go to 4-3 and put B-Raks and Carter hands in the dirt and let them get after Vick in the pocket, instead the scheme, amazingly almost seemed designed to flush the most explosive running QB in the game OUT OF THE POCKET, just amazingly dumb defensive playcalling

I agree on Haslett

I don’t know how this guy has a coaching job in the NFL.

I love it to, and he should keep doing it until someone calls it

But Zo does this once a week, and it’s always above the numbers. Freeze it at 0:25, then watch the guy’s helmet almost come off. No one would be surprised if there was a 15 yard flag. Unless the concussion stuff blows over, he’s eventually going to hurt someone and draw a flag and a fine. The NFL is cracking down on guys for much less.

Lorenzo is awesome....

I knew I liked him from the moment he ran down the field to tackle a guy helmetless in preseason. The guy has so much heart and passion. We def. need 53 Lorenzo Alexanders!!!!!
