Let's Be Real Here!
Today was a breakdown of a lot of things but lets see some bright spots and some dim ones.
- Anthony Armstrong is getting better and better but needs to fight for more yards and needs to stop falling after catching big play catchs and finish the play and get that TD!
- Laron Landry tried to redeem himself in this game but it shows that he can't handle the whole backfield by himself,Kareem Moore did not help him much at all.
- The O-Line was bad just plain bad this time and you can try and blame Mcnabb for those bad passes or interceptions but it starts with the offensive life and giving him some time to do his reads.
- Keiland Williams did the best he could he really did but he cant block very well but hes a rookie, not much was expected and he fought for those extra yards that turned into touchdowns.I do not understand the sense in not having another back to help balance out the carries!I mean we could have at least gave James Davis a shot to show what he could do but we only had Darrel Young and Keiland!Young in my opinion needs more playing time than Sellers so he can get some experience because i think he can be MUCH better than Sellers ever was
- Cut Roydell Williams for not producing or making his oppurtunities count!
- Joey Galloway is dead and constatly gets beat on his routes and he isnt the deep threat he was years ago,he may have proved leadership for sometime but its time to cut him and give someone like Terrence Austin or Taurus johnson a chance to show what they can do because it cannot get any worse with the wide receiver corps.
- Cooley was COOLEY!he showed he can be clutch but i think its time to give more playing time to Fred Davis and give him the time he had last year and let this USC star shine.
- Orakpo was good this game dont get me wrong but he coudnt do it all and for this game Alexander got burned by vick everytime and he could not touch him and gave up big plays to the fast receivers and running backs of the eagles
- Shanahan's had some genuis plays and those back to back touchdowns were great and they just need to keep up that tempo and not try and run the ball when the run isnt there, dont force something thats not there.
- We played deep coverage and they got constant short easy plays and room to run and it dint work,Jim Haslett just put Haynesworth in there and let him start because Kemoutu is pretty much nothing he was in Carolina and big baby Haynesworth makes plays and creates double teams!plain and simple
- BOLD PREDICTION:We win all of the rest of our games :)

•BOLD PREDICTION is beyond BOLD
but as for the rest I could not agree more, every point is valid and needs implemented. The Redskins are in the first year of a new offense and a new defense with about a ton of holes and will only make it to 8-8 on solid coaching, this is not a team ready to compete but it’s a promising start.
agreed!
i needed to vent for that game badly!thats veryyy truue i think this team has a bright future and we are rebuilding here, there are going to be alot of pink slips handed out by Shanahan soon enough.
we need to draft oline first round and 2nd round get that nice big body receiver then rest depth on defense n o line.
im a 17 year old die hard fan in california raised in maryland n i always have high hopes haha

Couldn't agree with you more

Amen to this.
Don't ever let failure get you down. Remember, a very successful major league hitter failes 70% of the time.
Cut some of the old dead wood and let some of the practice squad players get some experience. There are 3 OL on the
practice squad. Add new practice squad players to get them up to date on the offensive and defensive scheme at their respective positions. Just a scan of NFL transactions from early September to mid-November shows how other teams have tried to make moves to improve their rosters. The staff needs to be bolder than they have been to upgrade the roster. Not much action has been done on anything other than RB and WR. One LB was picked up and cut.

Bold Prediction
is Bold, but most likely wrong. We only win at the Titans, the Jaguars, and home against the Giants.
It’s time to start looking forward to the draft. This season is done.
let's get real
if all you saw were positives then you weren’t watching the game. Surrendering 28 points in 1 quarter is totally unacceptable. How did our defense get so bad in 1 year…oh yeah, we’re running a scheme that doesn’t fit our players. Brilliant!
At this point I am not going to get spun up over WRs when our defensive coordinator is this awful. Fire Haslett!
That was the worst drubbing I’ve ever seen and if everyone in the Redskins organization isn’t completely embarrassed by that game then they should be fired.
Quite frankly if this is the effort we’re going to see every week we will be lucky to win 1 more game all season.
I want a reset button. I want it to like Madden where I can just delete this Franchise save game file and start a new one. there is no hope of getting better. Everything needs to be younger and deeper. And I want a new, young head coach too. A guy who hasn’t been a head coach before. One of the Jon Harbaughs, Stevie Spags, or Jim Schwartz’s of the world.
a life: it's the shit that happens while you're waiting for moments that never come -Lester Freamon
but why? recycled old coaches works so well for us
And I want a new, young head coach too. A guy who hasn’t been a head coach before. One of the Jon Harbaughs, Stevie Spags, or Jim Schwartz’s of the world.
"By far the worst performers on the team are in the front office." – Sally Jenkins
I wish Jim Schwartz could come help us regress to a 2-7 team.
4-5 is the worst record ever. Dallas, Green Bay, Chicago and Philadelphia were all easy wins that any team could’ve won.
(all sarcasm)
Good post
Also, I guess it is kind of a good thing we stuck to the run, and it worked. Though, come on now, we were down 5 scores 15:10 into the game they were gonna let us run all we wanted.
Also, and I know this isn’t much either, but Jackson only had 2 catches.
Our secondary was making Jason Avant look like TO in his 81 jersey, but what do you expect with THAT much clean pocket time that Vick had. You can’t expect to have a 3rd read guy covered for that long, but I’m hoping this mean we had 1 and 2 covered pretty well.
Not a sermon, just a thought
Karma will help us out
Look at what Denver did to KC after losing to Oakland.
I am a bear of very little brains and big words bother me.
True!
I think if this time will be successfull we need to draft the best center or guard on the board with the first pick and pick a solid tall hard to bring down wide receiver that fights for those crucial extra yards!
The rest of the picks get depth for the team and pull all the practice squad O-line and see what they can do because even though they would be young puppy’s in a big dog nfl they would be getting that experience that every nfl player needs before shining.
