DeAngelo Hall Named NFC Defensive Player Of The Week

5

* Tied an NFL and Redskins record: Hall became 19th NFL player and third Redskin to record four interceptions in the same game. Last NFL Player to do so was Denver's Deltha O'Neal on Oct. 7, 2001. Sammy Baugh (11/14/43 vs. Detroit) and Dan Sandifer (10/31/48 vs. Boston) were the other Redskins to do so. * The 92-yard interception return for a touchdown was the longest of his career and tied for the third-longest in Redskins history. * Coupled with his 32-yard fumble return for a touchdown in Week 1 against Dallas, Hall became the first Redskins defender to score two defensive touchdowns in the same season since Andre Collins in 1994. * Is the first Redskins cornerback to win the award since Champ Bailey did so in Week 4 of the 2003 season. * Also, this is a tough stat to check, but this is the first time since at least 1978 that a player has had four interceptions in one half of football.
