Reggie Bush as a Redskin

I have listened to, and read comments regarding the Saints and their potential interest in trading Reggie Bush. He certainly hasn't lived up to the hype coming out of college, nor his billing as a first rd draft pick.  Most analysts would dub him as a bust.  I would too for that matter, but only because the expectations were set so high, for a franchise that at the time needed sooooo much more.  Bush will be a free agent in 2011.  He is guaranteed a large sum of money in 2010.  He is curently behind Pierre Thomas, who is emerging as a complete back, and Mike Bell.  Bush is viewed as a 3rd down/change of pace guy, and his salary is not matching his role on the offense. At this point in his career, the Saints may be willing to part ways with him(and his huge contract in 2010) for minimal draft picks. I do not think his production is worth a 2nd rd pick; maybe more like a third and a later pick, or a later rd pick and a player, but who knows what the saints would want in return(I can tell you one thing, it wont be a 1st rounder).  Bush is going to be 25 in the spring. He has elite speed. He is an excellent receiver out of the backfield, and can also return punts. I still believe he could be an every-down back in the league if he can stay healthy.

I had 2 thoughts on this:

1.) The saints need help at CB. Skins could trade Carlos Rodgers to the saints for Bush and a 4th or 5th rd pick.

2.) We could give up a 4th this year, and our 3rd next year(or some combination there of) for Bush, or if we lost a Restricted FA, and got another 2nd or 3rd rounder, we could use that as bait.

Thoughts?  Do you think he would be worth either of the scenerios?
