Apparently Rock is Pissed
He feels like he's been labeled as strictly the "return guy" (duh)

Betts wasn’t cut because it would have triggered a $3 million hit on this year’s salary cap, severely limiting the Redskins’ in-season spending flexibility.
what's the cap hit for letting him go next year?
I'm to young to Die Danny...don't make me do it tomorrow....
Betts can
suck it. How about showing some production ON THE FIELD to secure your job? J. Reid says they plan on keeping Mason inactive unless there’s an injury or he improves on Teams. I figured that, though I would rather they find out who’s actually better between him and Betts, then keep the loser inactive.
I’m disappointed in Rock. I thought he gave up trying to be the “feature back” years ago. He’s decent every once in awhile, but Brian Mitchell carved out (WHAT SHOULD BE) a HOF career doing what Rock’s doing. Special teams has been his calling card, it’s what’s kept him around for so long. Why fight it?
I get it
If I was Rock I’d be pissed that Mason was the talk of the Pre-Season and that he was being talked about as if he was worthless, he is not, and then he comes in a is ahead of him on the depth chart with no real game experience. That said he has been pretty terrible in his attempts to run the ball through 3 different coaching regimes he has not really shown anything as a pure runner and he only has himself to blame.
