Question about viewing tonights game
I live in Pa have Direct Tv and get Comcast east which most of you know broadcasts the Redskins preseason games. For whatever reason they black the games out and I can't figure out why. Redskins games have been sold out forever so I know that's not the reason. If worse come to worse I'll watch the rebroadcast on NFL Network.
- Do you know why they're blacked out?
- Is there a way for me to see it tonight?

My thought would be that the last two were blacked out because
one was a PA game (Pitt-Skins) and the second one (NE-Skins) was a nationally televised game. Did you get the first preseason game against Baltimore?

Should've clarified
I live closer to philly (Lancaster) then Pitt.
The first game vs. the Ravens was blocked out on Comcast but was able to see it own MASN2 via Ravens network.
2nd game vs. Pitt blocked out on comcast but nationally telivised on NFL Network. I was at the Pats game but assume it was blacked out for me as well even though I know it was nationally shown on NBC.

First game could of been blacked out b/c MASN had the rights to the area

Maybe
But that doesn’t account for the Skins being blacked out every other time on comcast.

doesnt philly have it’s own comcast station, like dc does and new york does? maybe thats the reason, because they dont show eagles games here

Just priorities of the local station
Comcast SportsNet is broken down into a lot of affiliates. If you get the Philly station (which I assume you do) then they have a deal only with the Eagles. Only the DC affiliate of CSN has a deal with the Skins.

I have the DC affiliate
Even though I live in PA. Doesn’t make sense to me. None of the Caps games were ever blacked out. I sent Comcast southeast or whatever they’re called an email asking the why?
Don’t expect any answers.

- Ravens game blacked out b/c of MASN
- Steelers game blacked out b/c of NFL Network or the NFL has a lot stricter rules about broadcasting than the NHL, so there is a conflict with Philly CSN as your primary
- Patriots game blacked out b/c CBS
- You should probably just move

Try Comcast Live Chat
When I have trouble with anything Comcast related I always chat with a representative. There’s someone to answer your question within two minutes. The link’s below:

This is the best I can do for you.

Thanks
I really go all out for the Redskins. That’s why if I know live Skins football is going on and I’m not able to see it..well frankly get pissed off and am not pleasant to be around. While I’m watching them it’s like a mini vacation, it’s My time! My dad knows, my fiance knows, and when we do well my neighbors know haha.

Thanks as in
I appreciate the link and your time in posting it. It didn’t work because it dealt with Comcast subscribers and alas I’m with direcTV. It might be more to do with them then anything else. I’ll prolly catch it online :(
Anyone catch Blogging the Boys reporting on our ticket rage? I left my two sense, check it out.
