We're not a great football team — never have been since I've been here — and it hasn't been in a long time, since, what, the '80s? It's been a long time since the Redskins have had a great football team. We have to come in here with a workmanlike attitude, with the mindset that we must work to win." - London Fletcher

That's a promising attitude.
London Fletcher is a guy who’s passion and motivation you can never question. I’m glad he’s a captain, and I hope he hammers this point home all week, hell all season.
A leader
And this gives me hope. And It’s time the team take a hard stance towards those players who are “just collecting a paycheck”
Well
Fletcher can say this to the media all he wants, but can he, or will he say it to his teammates when if we’re down at halftime to Tampa Bay or aren’t playing up to our potential (which we’ve been doing the entire year).
Hopefully some of the veterans are getting fed up and will start to act like the veterans and captains that they are towards the entire team.
LONDON FLETCHER
is the only HOF’er on the ’Skins…
CP will never even sniff Canton
Early '90's, Actually
. . . But whatever. Point being, not since Gibbs’ first go-‘round has this team been anything over mediocre. Horrible coaching hires (how does Norv Turner still get jobs?), bad signings (wasn’t Bruce Smith using a walker by the time the ’Skins signed him?), and no direction have collectively doomed this team for years.
It was turning around in the Schottenheimer era, but then Danny had to go and ruin that by bringing on Steve Spurrier and setting the franchise back about 10 years.
Fletcher’s right, but the problem isn’t the players, and I’m not even sure it’s the coaches. Snyder needs to hire a real GM and get out of everyone’s way.
