Maybe Dan Snyder is the Problem

Maybe the problem with the Redskins is Dan Snyder. Football is truly a team sport. There is no question but that Snyder loves the Redskins but, being a self-made man, he doesn't understand the meaning of "teamwork" since he never had to be part of a team -- always the business self-made "superstar" -- so, in putting together the team, year after year he hires "superstars" at giant salaries who never mesh as a team. The result is obvious -- a collection of players looking great on paper but never functioning as a unit, often unwilling to sacrifice selves (and personal stats) for the good of the group. Add to that a nice guy who is a "not quite ready for prime time" quarterback who can't throw a deep ball with consistent accuracy or easily spot open receivers and who, if he gets flustered by a defense early never shakes it off, and we have a team which under performs regularly. Is it really Zorn's fault that Snyder and his lap-dog Vinnie have given us a less than ideal collection of players to work with? Is it time to change the name of our stadium to FED-UP FIELD, WHERE ONLY THE FANS GET SCALPED?
