I think it's time to address the negativity surrounding this team, i'm fine with reading all the hater posts after a loss but as far as i remember 9-7 is still a win it's not pretty but it's a win and I also believe that when playoff time comes around people will look at our record in Wins and Losses, not how pretty our wins were. More positive thoughts after the jump.
I look at it this way, we are 1 and 1 against 1 contender and 1 pretender. Our offensive line is our weak link but they took us to 6-2 last year and it looks like we have upgraded a little bit in that department. I think what we're lacking is a comfort level on both sides of the ball, when the defensive line which has huge upgrades begins to come together as a unit I think our defense is going to be dominant, I’m talking sacks, turnovers and hopefully a td here and there to help us win games we "shouldn't". The offense has talent but still has to become more cohesive, Campbell played great against the Rams he moved the ball, he tucked & ran (I wish he had done this the week before) and he managed the game. His confidence is growing with Malcolm Kelly and Randle El is dominating the slot. I think it's only a matter of time before coverage’s have to start respecting them and roll the double coverage off of Cooley and Moss, Hello big play opportunities!
It wasn't too long ago that the giants were scrutinizing there 0-2 start calling for changes in the coaching staff and qb but then things clicked. I'm still hopeful that we can click and we have 4 games to do it, we need to get in sync on both sides of the ball, exercise the talent we have and vome together with a new identity, a winning identity, to silence all the haters.
All Hail!!!
