Good article

The Bleacher Report has a good article on the Redskins today.

Star-divide

While it's not complimentary it's also not a bashing, it just simple states the facts.  As the writer points out the Offensive line troubles are just the natural result of ignoring the need to draft OL for years on end.  It's a sore point for me because I started following the NFL, and the Redskins in the glory days of the Hogs when if the team didn't have anything else, they had a great offensive line.  I was actually envious of the Jaguars this year when they picked up not just 1 high draft round OL but 2 of them.  I hope someone who makes draft decisions in the organization will read this article and make rebuilding the line a focus over the next few years.

I agree...

I liked the Orakpo pick, but hoping for a few OL picks in the later rounds…0…….and I felt all of the guys we picked up were long shots…except Dockery..I hope there is a stud LT in next years draft when we pick…..and a C or G in the later rounds…

Nothing against Orakpo

I like him too but the problem wasn’t last years draft, it was the last 5-8 years worth of drafts. You can’t go year in and year out without getting at least a 3rd or 4th round OL pick.

the problem is

and always will be, Cerrato. He is not a great football mind. Sure, he knows more than Danapolean, but so does my dog. Charley Casserly made an interesting point on Cerrato a while back. He said that when everyone dispersed from San Francisco (Carmen Policy, Dwight Clark, Mike Homgren), none of them took him with them. Policy took a bunch of his people to the Browns, but not Cerrato. Same with Holmgren and Green Bay. How telling is that?

I again agree

I remember hearing some ESPN guys saying before the 07 or 08 draft that everyone thought Vinne C was a joke the way he was handling his draft etc.. everyone meaning ,teams and analyst……now I see why….our drafting has been terrible the past 10 yrs …except for only a select few no brainers…. what does D Snyder see in him…He didnt learn his lesson the first time around with all of the big FA duds from 99-01? I guess Marty had the right idea when he fired him 01…..I liked Marty
