First off there are alot of Campbell haters out there and I am not one of them, He's not where he needs to be yet but I think he can get there before we face the eagles week 7. Our fans largely in part to our owner are demanding that JC steps into a franchise qb role this season or basically he's gone. My thoughts after the jump!
The softest part of our schedule is during the next 5 weeks, I think we need to revise a gameplan that may not be pretty and may make for some tight games against teams we should beat but could really help us later in the season. I think we need a more pass happy offense for those games, move away from the run, take shots down field, take chances be a little more careless with the reads, learn to trust the receivers and test Campbells accuracy. Let Jason feel like the entire game rests on him. By doing this I believe JC will find his rythm and gain the confidence of the fans and front office before the tough half of the season and hopefully it would allow Portis to stay fresh until we really need him. This would also help with other teams game planning against the pass and right when they think we've moved away from the run here comes CP with fresh legs almost half way through the season!
What do you all think?
