The Choke Collar Has Been Removed: Michael Vick Can Return to the NFL (Contest)
- Vick can immediately participate in preseason practices, workouts and meetings
- He can play in the final two preseason games -- if he can find a team that will sign him.
- A Week 6 reinstatement is likely by Goodell if all goes well.
So with the Giants and Jets publicly stating they have zero interest, we all know that can change with a training camp slip resulting in an achilles tear or MCL injury.
My friend works for a beer distributor, so we'll make a contest out of this. The first commenter who correctly guesses what team Vick will land on, wins a (still in the package) Bud Light t-shirt. UFL is an option as well.

Eagles
The Eagles have NO depth at QB and if anything should happen to McNabb, I see the Birds picking him up. It makes sense too b/c Philly hates PETA protesters so there won’t be any issues there.
I'll guess New England?
They were looking to draft Pat White for the wild-cat so Vick makes a lot of sense.

Cambell is toast
Redskins are definitely going to sign him. Even at 75% he is light years ahead of
“The Statue”
Welcome to HH
I'm to young to Die Danny...don't make me do it tomorrow....
I think he will go to Miami
I don’t think that is a great town to be in if you are trying to get your life together. It is probably better to be in New England, Orlando, or Jacksonville. Still, I think he would grow well with Parcells and his style fits well there.
I got the Niners
Vick should go and fight for Mike Singletary. That offense is already perfect for him. They are going to run the hell out of the ball…a la the Falcons teams he helmed.
Vikings
Vick is better than Tarvaris and Sage. They could cut Tarvaris and have Favre, Vick, and Rosenfels on their QB depth chart. Favre’s arrival in Minnesota would help distract from the negative attention Vick would bring. Could you imagine Vick, Percy Harvin and Peterson in the backfield for the Vikings “Wildcat” – with their OL?! Straight nasty!!
RAK EM UP!
mr vick
I think that old danny boy always spends money on crap players why not spend it on someone that could take the team to a winning season by next year atleast. this year for mr vick would be a training and rebuilding year forhim so think about all the crap money he throwsaround and gets nothing in return but crap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SIGHN HIM NOW DANNY BOY duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…….
I have no idea why anyone would think Vick would make a better QB than Campbell.
Vick’s career:
71 TDs in 74 games
53.8% completion
Falcons were 15-16 in Vick’s last two seasons. Vick plays in a decent division but not as strong as the NFC East. Vick had time to show whether he can play and didn’t show much. Campbell hasn’t had time yet. Campbell has fewer than half as many career games played as Vick.
for some reason
people equate being on the cover of video games and magazines to being a great QB. Vick is a DYNAMIC athlete, but a sub-par QB. He was behind the 8-ball in reading (and reacting) to defenses BEFORE he went away, and I seriously doubt he spent his time in prison reading the diaries of Buddy Ryan, Richie Pettibone, Bill Belicheck, Dick Lebeau, etc, etc. His accuracy needs ample work as well, which he should get in the UFL.
meanwhile the Colt fanclub soldiers on
and Vick is 100x better than Colt will ever be.

‘cause there’s evidence to the contrary?
print my post out and keep it framed on your mantle until the day Colt gets a starting job, let alone wins a playoff game.

So...
because Colt’s not a starter in his 2nd year in the NFL means Vick is obviously better? And I guess since JC has never won a playoff game, Vick is better than him too, right?
RAK EM UP!
Ugh.
Vick is 100x better than Colt will ever be.
note the use of future tense. This is a prediction. Let me know when Colt proves it wrong.
Well Vick was drafted only 185 spots ahead of Colt in the draft

Thanks for letting me know...
I just don’t understand everyone’s obsession with Colt, its the gayest of man crushes surrounding the redskins nation.
I think Vick is a better QB than Colt and always will be, I could be wrong but totally doubt it. When Colt goes to 3 Pro Bowls then you can come kick me in the balls or something. Once again I never ever see Colt getting the starting job b/c if JC has a bad year then Snyder is going to try to sign a big name QB or draft Bradford, McCoy, or Robinson.

When Colt starts doing GQ photo shoots w/ his shirt off, you’ll change your mind like the rest of em!

Trent Shelton...
just twittered he knows where Vick is going…but he won’t say. Not sure if I buy that. I twittered back to Trent ‘is he going to the dog track?’
He'll go
to Orlando( in the UFL) first . He can play in that league, all the way to their championship game if he makes it, and still come to the NFL this year. Their season ends around Thanksgiving. Also, he will make more money there than he will this year in the NFL.
Hail to Vick!!
Lets bring him to Washington! No Joke. As a QB he will be the Change-of-pace back to CP that our offense needs (And That Ladell Betts was proven he can’t provide). Campbell has a cannon arm but MV7 has the Vick-Flick.
This is not going to be good for the Vick to DC rumors...
Tanner Cooley: Wondering why Michael Vick is in Lansdowne and even more, why was he at Buffalo Wing Factory in Ashburn earlier today??
Skins
but not as a QB, as a WR/RB/KR. He’s Randle El except better.
You know if you guys want a QB
that has been out of the league multiple years and has a career rating in the 70’s Tim Couch is also available (courtesy of DJ Gallo). Seriously though, you guys have already suffered enough splashy signings that lead to squat, do you really want the circus beyond compare that his signing would bring? I mean I know Snyder has to be gnashing his teeth hearing the Skins being dismissed by every pundit in the country this year, but is it worth it? The man has been eating prison food, he hasn’t been working with NFL trainers. He hasn’t been throwing with NFL receivers (timing not exactly his strong suit to begin with). With his strength and speed, what does he bring to the table? Tell me you can’t see him running like crazy in the backfield and bouncing balls all over the turf. The one positive would be that at least it would knock Favre off of the ESPN list every morning.

Homer: Woo-hoo!

Misunderstanding
Vick’s not coming to Washington and the majority of Skin fans don’t want him here, especially at QB.
RAK EM UP!
no one wants Vick here
He’s not an accurate passer which is exactly what a WCO needs. It makes no sense. The dude can scramble..that’s great. Let a team that has trouble selling tickets sign him (JAX)
I would love to see CLE sign him just so I can see Vick jump into the Dawg pound for a TD celebration.

Redskins
Two words: Shaun Alexander. The Skins have repeatedly shown prowess to pick up the has-beens for back-up positions….Here’s what I think- Washington picks up Vick for dirt-cheap and Vick becomes third-string back behind Portis and Betts. Vick was built to be a running back, and this would be a good opportunity for him….Fact of the matter is, once he gets in with a team, sits the bench for season, the following year, nobody will care if he plays on your team.
I disagree
I’m not a coach, but I don’t see how making Vick a RB or KR would be productive. Have you seen how he runs with the ball? He doesn’t protect the ball ever. Scrambling out of the pocket is much different than when you have 11 guys coming after you from the snap of the ball running up the middle.

TB
I think TB would be a terrible location but they definitely have uncertainty at their QB position.
Updated Anti-Vick list...
Looks like I’m out…18 teams already anti-vick
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/07/28/the-anti-vick-list/
Florio
said ASSURED his readers that Favre was coming back.
Did that happen?
Florio said Terry Bradshaw died.
TB was on TV the next day.
My point, his material isn’t always accurate and i have a strong feeling Vick will land on a team that is on that list.
All good points
But this list is based off press releases from teams stating they dont want Vick…not so much Florio’s “sources” (Taliban soldier in Afghanistan) saying so.
Having said that, Cerrato said the Skins have no interest in Jason Taylor and they signed him within hours.
