Here we are, days away from training camp! While most of our core players are set, there remains a few key competitions at various positions. Will Colt Brennan beat out Todd Collins for the #2 backup QB? Who will be our 5th WR - Roydell Williams, Marko Mitchell, Marques Hagans, Keith Eloi, Trent Shelton...? Who will win the 3rd RB slot and will he be our designated KR? Who will win the RT position and who will be our OL backups? You get the picture.

 Zorn has shown that he is not afraid to make tough decisions in deciding who to cut (i.e. Jansen and Thrash). I think one more "shocker" of a cut awaits. And that is Rock Cartwright. We've been hearing too much about how blazing fast Anthony Alridge is (and Dominique Dorsey for that matter). Rock has been a competent KR for us. But, he is about to hit 30. And I think that Zorn will continue his youth movement in making Alridge the designated KR and #3 RB option. So, I'm calling it here. 

 Below the jump, I have highlighted the players that I believe will make our 53-man roster. I have left a few names up there (without highlights) who I think are on the bubble. I believe they will have a good shot at our practice squad. A lot could change between now and the regular season in terms of injuries and surprising player performances. But, I think this depth chart is very close to how it will really look at the start of 2009. Check it out and let me know where I might be wrong.
