With the latest post about Cribbs, it brought forth y longtime belief that we need a serious upgrade at the #2 RB spot. I'm hoping Marcus Mason can grab it. But if he doesn't, we need someone else. I always thought we should've traded Betts when he had value. Now he's damaged goods and can no longer bring it. At best, he's a poor man's Portis. They were a good combo when Portis was more of a slasher. But since he's added his NFC Beast bulk, Portis has become a workhorse, no longer capable of taking it 80 yards every time. However, he's still a lot better than Betts. And since now they pretty much have the same running style, Betts needs to go. Aside from me cringing everytime Betts gets the ball, waiting for a fumble, I just wait for him to get his 3-4 yards then go down, HOPEFULLY with the ball still in his posession. But the best 2 back systems have complimentary RB's, not the same type of player. We need a speedster to come in for Portis when he yanks himself. Someone like ,  (UGH!) Felx Jones, who could break off a 20-30 yard sweep while Portis catches his breath.
