NFL Talk: Smoot Wants Fat Guys and Dawkins Gives Tickets

There have been strange happenings in the NFL lately. But these two is what I would really like to discuss with you. One involves fat and the other involves tickets. So let's go!

This is the talk, the NFL talk that is.

Brian Dawkins

So let's being with Brian Dawkins. Okay, so days after Dan Leone, an employee, was fired by the Eagles for calling them "retarded" on Facebook because they let Brian Dawkins go. Thanks to Shutdown Corner, they said that Dawkins will be giving tickets tickets to him.

It's really generous of him, actually.

"I thought it'd be a good gesture. Had I not ... signed with Denver, that guy would still have his job. Obviously, he made a decision and out of emotion said something. He was one of probably thousands and thousands of Eagles fans who felt that way. That didn't surprise me, that someone said that on their Facebook. It did surprise me that he was let go, though ... I felt it would be a good thing, to reach out to that individual and just let him know how much I appreciate it.''

That is what Dawkins said to the the Philadelphia Daily News. The 35-year-old looks to be dominant in the NFL. Try buying the jersey. I have the Brian Dawkins' Broncos jersey.

I am sorry Cody and Bryn Swartz but Dawkins is a beast and I know you guys don't want him to leave Philly. I know you guys may hate me having this but it does look kind of cool.

But I am sure known wants Dawkins to leave. But hey, he is still the man. And by saying this little tid-bit, it proves why.

Fred Smoot

Fred Smoot is certainly funny. That is why he is the "All-Pro talker." When I looked at this, it certainly told me that Fred Smoot was trying to be Smoot with an h at the end. He told DC Sports Blog that he wants to be a general manager after he retires.

He also mentioned something else, too. Dan Steinberg, who was in the discussion with Smoot, asked him what was his philosophy when he is a general manager. Well this little expert can tell you:

"Fat boys wins my game. I know football, and in December, in the playoffs, fat boys win. Whoever's got the best fat boys is gonna win, so I'm gonna collect fat boys. I can find Fred Smoots -- not a dime a dozen, but I can find cornerbacks that can make plays. I can find that. I can't find a big boy that can push this line for four quarters."

With that explanation, it looks to me his line-up will look the players in some very old video game, no doubt. And like Yahoo, it's the line play that makes champions, not those skill positions. Take a look at Jay Cutler. He had gaudy numbers and his o-line only allowed 11 sacks! Woo hoo, go Clady!

The line looks to be great. And even though Dan Snyder denied the "fat boys" request, Smoot is still pretty solid.

So if you need a general manager, pick Smoot, he'll get it done for you. He will do it with fat boys and something else that I really don't know if you'll enjoy.

For the record,
