RT Mike Williams signs with Redskins
Well, the guy in question is Mike Williams, a first-round draft choice of the Buffalo Bills back in 2002. Williams never fully developed as Buffalo hoped, and he's been out of football for two seasons, but I saw him in the hallway just minutes ago, and -- at the very, very least -- he is still absolutely enormous.
Does this mean that we won't be drafting an o lineman tomorrow? At least the team recognizes that it needs help with the o line. Who knows, maybe he can revert back to what caused him to be the 4th overall pick. It's not realistic to think that he'll be that good all of a sudden but you never know. Williams has been out the past two years and he says that he has a new love for the game so maybe he'll bust his butt and start playing like a 4th overall pick. At 6'6" and 360 pounds he shouldn't get pushed around by many people. Personally I like the signing, what do you all think?

A smoot guy
The Redskins are looking for a RT, This guy is huge and may have decided to concentrate on Football again or may just be depth for the line, as he can play guard or tackle…it’d be nice to find a diamond.
Full Name: Michael Deshaun Williams
Born: January 11, 1980
Dallas, TX
Height: 6-6
Weight: 370 lbs. Age: 29
Pos: OT
Redskins in bad shape!
This Redskin Team is in bad shape. You spread out the D 5 yards per carry. The O-line very old, and soft. The special teams besides having Rock Cart. is a joke. How can you have the highest payroll and finish dead last year after year in punting.I hold my breath every time the field kicker comes out.The QB looks like he’s in slow motion. One of their WR shines his shoes after scoring a TD. A game they lost and think that was the only TD they scored. The star running back (Portis is one of the best) mouths off at the head coach on the radio. And this Vinnie C guy does he see what I see.OK you have the two best Dts in the league Thats it same old same old.No playoffs!

NO,
you suggested benching JC for old-ass Collins, which was, by far, the dumbest thing I’ve ever read on this site and proved that you haven’t watched football for at least a year and don’t know SHIT about Washington Redskins football.
Curry, Orakpo, or the top 4 OLs... or back.
Mike Williams or Erasmus James
I can see taking a chance on either of these players. They were both high draft picks at one time and it didn’t cost a lot to get them. The upside is great if they can get back to the players everyone thought they would be. BUT, that being said they can not honestly think they can depend on these players to be solid starters. The really funny thing is…that is what they think. The guy hasn’t played for two years what type of shape do you think you’d be in if you were used to taking in a ridiculous amount of calories everyday to maintain that type of build then not play for two years.
oh yeah……….400lbs (no doubt a conservative estimate)
This doesn't mean we won't draft an OT.
Look we have (at the moment, I’m an optimist) 4 picks. We have nearly 16 spots available on the roster.
Signing a former 1st round pick to bring to camp and see if he can play is a great idea.

if
you are in your late 20’s…6’6" weigh 370 and can still run…you have a big edge over John Jansen
good gamble
Why not gamble on Williams? As long as we still use a good draft pick for an O-lineman, at the least, this will promise us some depth at a position that sorely needs it. Last year our O-line was great….for the first half of the season. With the aging players we had, they required some capable back-ups to maintain that performance in the second half of the season. We didn’t have that depth, and suffered for it. I don’t think Chad Rinehart even played a single snap..what the…..
Lets keep our draft picks and play it straight for change; draft to fill some obvious holes: O-line, linebacker, line depth.

Roster
They have so many open spots left on their roster…adding a guy like this is def a good idea…worst case is he doesnt make the team.
Mike Williams???
He was a bust in Buffalo, so what makes Vinny and Jimmy think they can turn that around, especially since he hasn’t put on pads for two years? The Skins gorged themselves at the draft day feeding trough on LB’s. Couldn’t they have picked up a solid OT in the fifth or sixth instead? This is why I grade the draft a “C” at best.
Yea
He’s too fat to play in minicamp this weekend…he’s living with Dockery to slim down.

I don't think he's living with Dockery to slim down.
I read he was living with Dockery, and Dockery brought it up to FO to try him out.
