...chatter is building surrounding possible trades, mostly concerning where QB Mark Sanchez will land...I was told by reliable sources that Seattle will pull the trigger on Sanchez at No. 4 overall.

Draft Day
the 2009 draft is looking to play out to be the most epic chess game of ALL time. If I were the Seahawks, knowing how much the Redskins pay and are willing to give up, I would TOTALLY “leak” a few statements like this. It would no doubt push teams to throw more and higher picks. The Redskins are that fish you catch that already has 2 hooks in it. Continually the sucker.
You think Seattle is bluffing? Using the media like this is no new trick.

I dont think the Seahawks will draft Sanchez. They should take the best player left among Jason Smith, Eugene Monroe, or Aaron Curry. One of them should be there.

Seattle will take him, given the chance to trade they will pass
Atlanta,
Who? The discussion is on Seattle and Sanchez.
Ok, but new head coach Jim Mora needs to make an impact, make this his own team and what better way then to draft a franchise QB. He also has the bad taste of Vick, he took over with Vick as the QB, was able to get the team to the playoffs but then tended to crumble…the coach and QB are tied together, he will think he needs to pick his QB.

Sugar
Sugar made a good point yesterday to me over IM. Mark Sanchez should buy Flacco and Matt Ryan new cars since owners (Snyder) now think their team can automatically get to the playoffs drafting a rookie QB.

I would likely
suffer a stroke or heart attack if we TRADED UP for Sanchez. Given that a little value can be salvaged from JC, I could live with him at #13. I couldn’t be happy with less than a second rounder for JC though. JC is steadily (albeit slowly) improving year after year. But at that rate, he has at least two more seasons before becoming a pro-bow ALTERNATE. I believe the Hawks could take Sanchez at #4, since they will need a new QB in the next two years-ample time for him to learn and mature. The Hawks di have greater needs at present, however,

The Seachickens may want Sanchez for themselves,
since he somehow dazzled everyone with his brilliance at these private workouts and because Hasselbeck may be breaking down. They may not want to risk a repeat of last year, after Hasselbeck couldn’t play with back and neck problems. Seattle really won’t know for sure whether his body will hold up until after he takes a few good hits. So, why not bring in Sanchez to be tutored by Hasselbeck so they can at least have someone to throw to the newly acquired T.J. Houshmandzadeh.
IN JC WE TRUST

Dear God,
if you’re up there, PLEASE don’t let Dan Snyder give up TWO FIRST ROUND PICKS PLUS MORE to get Mark Sanchez.
Or else, if he IS going to try to do it, can you smite him on draft day or something?
And Vinny Cerrato too, while you’re at it.
Sincerely,
