Ah yes, the steady work ethic of George W. Bush
Not trying to take a stance in any direction here, but…
Yeah, yeah, I can live without the political comments, which I definitely think are pretty far off. I’m not sure if it’s a reflection of a rising tide of “Obama Derangement Syndrome” (to borrow from what neocons labled “Bush Derangement Syndrome” when people criticized the Commander in Chief) among a certain group of particularly curmudgeonly sticks in the mud, but I’m fairly certain Bush took ample time off from his job, much more so than just filling in a bracket for March Madness (at least he was even in the White House, and not the “Western White House” *gag*). Yes, I’m saying Bush spent a lot more time “off” from the job than he did “on”, and even when he was at the White House he wasn’t beyond taking time “off” to shoot videos about Barney the Dog. So yeah… I’m thinking folks would have expected Bush to have made a bracket, not gone “apeshit”, and in fact I think it’s a little odd that Bush didn’t make one, after all we agreed in 2004 he seemed like the kinda guy we’d prefer to have a beer with. Then again, there’s a lack of good college basketball in Texas, and it’s not like he spent any time paying attention to anything that was going on in the Chesapeake Bay region. Obama’s a sports guy, so I’m sure you’ll be able to get over it, eventually.

Haha..yea
i didn’t mean to say in the Slop post that I personally have that view…just a general observation of the liberals in DC…most of whom are my friends and love to talk that way after 6 pints at happy hour.
I agree it’s refreshing having a President that relates to the average person and fills out a bracket. Bush is a huge Sports nut but you’d never know it.

Well thank you...
for sharing your all-powering thoughts Lord Savior. What are you, a lawyer or something?

bashing?
Oh I think if I were bashing it would have come off sounding more like it. If you think that what I wrote is “Bush Bashing” then you have a very sensitive trigger and must read the Wash Times exclusively. But, meh, whatever – I got my coffee after the post and I’m doing much better. Fickle audience, we blog readers!
