Another Wednesday update, Redskins Draft

Wednesday! Pro day for potential Redskin First Round pick

Key dates for the college pro days of most of the pre-draft favorites to be picked by the Redskins.

March 18, Penn State's pro day, the undersized DE/LB Aaron Maybin

While I think this is completly the wrong direction for the Redskins many of the "mock drafts" have the Redskins making this selection either as a DE passing down specialist or converting to a rushing LB.

The morning call

Maybin, an all-American defensive end who gave up his final year of eligibility, ran his best 40 in 4.53 seconds today, a quarter-second faster than his time at the Combine. He also improved on his vertical jump (38 to 40 inches) and broad jump (10-4 to 10-10) in a performance that should solidify him as a first-round pick in next month's NFL Draft.

"It was a good day," Maybin said outside Holuba Hall afterward. "I know my athletic ability and I know what I'm capable of. I put some numbers on the board that are indicative of the kind of player I am."

Impressive forty for a guy who's trying to get to 250, maybe if on the board he shoud be considered.

Going against the trend of Wednesday Pro-days for Redskins prospects at # 13, Florida State's DE/LB who has been moving up the rankings...Everette Brown

DE/LB Everette Brown (6-1 7/8, 256 pounds). He turned in a 31-inch vertical leap and a 9-foot, 9-inch broad jump, but he otherwise stood on his numbers from the combine.

Next update March 25th, the no brainer pick if he's still on the board at 13!
